I am finding what I think are many neat Biblical names with awesome meanings, but then when I read how they are really pronounced(which is way different that what I think) I have a hard time understanding the pronunciation symbols/syllables etc… For example I read the name [name]Azriel[/name] on the list(it says boy or girl) and it means God is my help. So I think it is pronounced Az-ri-el (long i as in ‘kite’ and el as in ella.) When I clicked on the pronunciation this is what it showed.
az-ree-ale’ what is the apostrophe for? Maybe this is an obvious thing that I just missed out on learning and I should know it.

I believe the apostrophe is above the syllable that is stressed, but in this case I think either it’s incorrect or there are multiple pronunciations for [name]Azriel[/name]. AHZ-ree-ehl is how I would say it.
the pronunciation markings there indicate how it would be pronounced in modern Hebrew (which is, essentially, the most accurate pronunciation). in Hebrew, emphasis is on the last syllable, and the vowel sounds would be as indicated by the pronunciation guide. it English-speaking Jewish communities, emphasis is sometimes put on the middle syllable (ahz-[name]REE[/name]-ehl) but the vowel sounds remain the same.
The difference between saying the last syllable as -ehl or -ale is a subtle one, based on a difference between vowel pronunciation in Hebrew that isn’t easy to transcribe in English. technically, i’d say it’s somewhere in between the two. But that’s getting very technical; the name is recognizable either way.
I am not Jewish, but I would pronounce that AZ-ree-EHL because that’s how it was pronounced on the Smurfs (Gargamel’s cat is [name]Azriel[/name], but it might be spelled differently – I’ve never seen it written down).
