[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I am expecting my 4th child a BOY the beginning of February! I have a 13 yr old daughter [name_u]Allie[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], a 7 yr old son [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], and a 6 yr old son [name_u]Lane[/name_u] [name_m]Christian[/name_m]. I could name 25 baby girls with no problem but really struggle with boy names. Here is my list of what I like so far. Please give advice on what you like or don’t and also middle name suggestions! In also open to new name suggestions. I don’t really usually go for anything in the top 50 or top 100 (yes I know my son [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]'s name is super popular! I sorta regretted naming him that because there are sooo many [name_u]Alex[/name_u]'s everywhere we go) I like unique names but also some old fashioned classic names. I dislike weird spellings for sure. For some reason I like short names.
[name_m]Elam[/name_m] (pronounced Ee-lum). I know you probly haven’t heard of it but it cracked the top 1000 several years in late 1800s early 1900s and I know TWO people with this name and I just love it! It’s simple but seems classy too
[name_u]Max[/name_u]- I like short names and this appeals to me.
[name_m]Zane[/name_m]- another short and not overly popular name that I like. But I have a [name_u]Lane[/name_u] already… Would that be weird?
[name_m]Rush[/name_m]- this reminds me of an athletic kid. It’s very unique and short and I think that’s why it appeals to me.
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]- just recently added this. Wdyt?
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]- I really like this. It’s a classic but it is awfully popular right now.
[name_m]Abram[/name_m]- I think this is a preppy and classy name. It’s different. Not super popular but not unheard of either!
[name_m]Elam[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]Abram[/name_m] are my favorites
Also, I would love to find an L name. So I could have two A’s and two L’s. I know that’s weird and I never cared too much about the whole cohesive sibset names but it’s just an idea. I thought I would throw put there.
What about [name_m]Leo/name_m? And if you don’t like that as a standalone, there are many ways to get it from longer names: [name_m]Leonard[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m]…if this baby has a long name you will have two kids w/ long names, two with short, if you really do want a “matching” sibset.
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]!! Pronounced [name_u]Lou[/name_u]–ee. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that name–not too popular, but so cute and handsome. And great with your sibset. Good luck!
I like [name_m]Elam[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. Also, perhaps, [name_m]Zenon[/name_m], [name_u]Cade[/name_u], [name_m]Clive[/name_m], [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m], [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_u]Zion[/name_u], [name_m]Nikos[/name_m], [name_m]Hoyt[/name_m], [name_m]Olivier[/name_m] or [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].
My favourites from your list are [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. I also quite like [name_m]Abram[/name_m]. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] are too popular imo, and [name_m]Rush[/name_m] is just too much. Some suggestions for you:
[name_m]Elam[/name_m]
[name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] (love it, this is my cousin and his son’s name so I have a good connection to it)
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Abram[/name_m] (I also like [name_m]Bram[/name_m] which is on my own list)
I would not use [name_m]Zane[/name_m] and [name_u]Lane[/name_u] together, I do not like rhyming names in the same sibset.
L names- [name_m]Lars[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_m]Latham[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Layton[/name_m], [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_u]Landry[/name_u]
It’s funny that [name_m]Rush[/name_m] makes you think athlete. I literally can’t get my mind to think anything close to that. I picture an overweight,
middle-aged guy, who is addicted to pain killers and espouses extreme right wing rhetoric on the radio for entertainment. lol
For short names I like the following:
Elum (I like it. But the kid is going to spend a lifetime teaching people how to say his name. It’s not difficult, but people are inherently dumb).
[name_m]Crew[/name_m] (not sure your last name but this one has potential).
[name_u]Sam[/name_u]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Blaze[/name_u]
[name_m]Smith[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]
[name_m]Cash[/name_m]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
My favorite short name is [name_u]Jace[/name_u] (my son). If you want another L I would suggest:
[name_m]Lynx[/name_m]
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]
[name_u]Landry[/name_u] (saw this suggestion and love it)
[name_m]Layton[/name_m]
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] but have a nephew with that name. I also loovvee smith. I always said I didn’t care about having the whole “cohesive sounding sibset” thing but now I think it would be cool to have [name_u]Allie[/name_u], [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]Lane[/name_u], and [name_u]Landry[/name_u]. ?? Definitely have [name_u]Landry[/name_u] on the list now. I liked [name_u]Blaze[/name_u] at one time but I dunno, just don’t love it enough.
