I can't decide between two unusual names

I prefer [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] but [name_f]Zephyrine[/name_f] is quite pretty. Also I don’t think a lot of people know the [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] legend, and since [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and [name_f]Zephyrine[/name_f] are really close in look and sound that would probably be the worse combination. I hope that helped. =]

I much prefer [name_f]Isolde[/name_f]. But I don’t think that you should name your kids [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], I think enough people know about the [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] story to make it a little weird. It might not be as well known as [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but I certainly made the link immediately.

I also much prefer [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], and also [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] to [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. I agree with pp that [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] just isn’t appropriate for brother and sister!

I don’t think you can have [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] OR [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and [name_f]Zephyrine[/name_f], and of the opposing pairs I prefer [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] just because [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] is comparatively trendy.

I don’t think you can have both if that’s what you are asking. If you name your kids [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] - eh, it just has the same vibe as if you’ve named them [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. So you need to pick one of them. And [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and [name_f]Zephyrine[/name_f]… Pretty, but too close. Like siblings [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m], which doesn’t work. So pick one.

For what it’s worth, my favorite is [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u].

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] both! I do love [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] a little bit more though.

I agree with the pp, I would choose [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] (I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] on a boy!).

I really don’t want to give up on [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], so I added [name_f]Ellisif[/name_f].
