Hi, I’m new to this website! I’m expecting a boy, and anticipating having at least one more child in the future, but likely only one more. Since I like to plan ahead, I’m trying to lock down a name for this baby and two names (one for a girl, one for a boy) for a future baby. We had already thought of a single and uncontested girl name, [name_f]Kennedy[/name_f], before we found out we were having a boy. So if our second child is a girl, we are so far planning to use [name_f]Kennedy[/name_f].
I was at a loss for boy names before we found Babynamegenie and, after making a few polls of our own and not coming up with anything we liked enough to use, we scrolled through the other polls and noticed a few existing sibling sets for brothers that other people on the site had used for their older kids. These were some pairs that we liked: [name_m]Asher[/name_m] & [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m] & [name_m]Anderson[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] & [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Logan[/name_m] & [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], [name_m]Makai[/name_m] & [name_m]Carver[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] & [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] & [name_m]Jude[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Spencer[/name_m] & [name_m]Connor[/name_m], and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] & [name_m]Spencer[/name_m].
The first name in each pair is an option for the baby boy we are currently expecting. The second name is for a hypothetical second son. If our second child is a girl instead, the second name is replaced with [name_f]Kennedy[/name_f].
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] seems safe to us and we like it, so it is a strong contender. I also especially like that [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is Scottish. I really love how unique and handsome [name_m]Makai[/name_m] and [name_m]Carver[/name_m] are, but because they are so unique, I wonder if it would be weird knowing there are two other little boys out there named [name_m]Makai[/name_m] and [name_m]Carver[/name_m].
Every time we try to narrow this list down a little bit more, I feel like I can’t let any of the names go. Most of them are on equal planes to me. And I’m worried that if I were to narrow them down to a set of two names, I would end up feeling unsatisfied with the pair.
So I was wondering your opinions. What are the merits of these names in your eyes? Is there any way to narrow 17 names down to 2 that we will be satisfied with? I’m not opposed to some of these being mixed and matched if you feel like something else works better.
Thank you commenters in advance!
