I dislike all boys names help!!!

So we have a [name_f]Freya[/name_f] right now. We both [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name. If we have another girl we would name her either [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] (can’t decide on a spelling). I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]/ai. But we need help with boy names because I don’t love any of them. My SO likes [name_m]George[/name_m] but I don’t like it. I love whimsical names you don’t hear a lot. Something with a bit of flair. Boy names feel so boring to me. I am sorry because I have no suggestions for boy names to help you figure out my style because I literally suck at boy names that much.

Anyway! Thank you for your help! Good luck!

What about nature type names? They have a bit of a whimsical feel to them.

[name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_m]Bear[/name_m]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Forest[/name_m]
[name_u]Ash[/name_u]

Or something like [name_u]Ever[/name_u] or [name_u]Everett[/name_u]? [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] sound really sweet together.

[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Sylvan[/name_m]
[name_m]Darius[/name_m]
[name_m]Anton[/name_m]

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]

I hope this gives you some inspiration. Good luck!

I still feel like those names aren’t anything special. I do like nature names like those but I still find them a bit boring. I want something a bit different, not heard of much, maybe even a little softer sounding. Ugh. I am so picky.

[name_m]Espen[/name_m] is actually interesting! I will have to look into that name some more. Yay. Thanks! On the right track

[name_m]Espen[/name_m] is of Scandinavian origin, much like your daughter’s name, so I think that would work wonderful!

Suggestions:
[name_m]Gustav[/name_m]
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Ludvig[/name_m]
[name_m]Emil[/name_m]
[name_m]Albin[/name_m]
[name_m]Melker[/name_m]
[name_u]Loki[/name_u]
[name_m]Viggo[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Linus[/name_m]
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m]
[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m]

I hope you like some of these! Good luck.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about:

[name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
Alder
[name_u]Robin[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m]

how do you feel about Tristen/Tristin/Tristan? I think [NAME]Rilo[/NAME] would be nice, but it’s not even recognized by nameberry yet.
If your husband isn’t into the same style of names as you, as it seems since he favors the name George, you could maybe compromise on a name like Kyle with the nickname “Kai” so it’s more to your liking? There are still lots of options! I’ll come back with some more suggestions after I’ve had time to think…

I agree with @cheekygals, I think Otto would be a fun choice! Or Otis.

Edited to add:
Wiley
Sutton
Roscoe
Rocco
Phoenix (similar sound to Freya)
Hayes
Everest
Emery
Beau

I have to agree with you, [name_m]Espen[/name_m] is a lovely name! I’m happy you found one name to consider at least. Here are a few that feel whimsical and definitely not boring, to me. What do you think of-
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m]
[name_m]Aramis[/name_m]
[name_u]Brighton[/name_u]
[name_m]Castiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Dante[/name_m]
[name_m]Draven[/name_m]
[name_f]Endellion[/name_f]
[name_m]Endymion[/name_m]
[name_u]Ezri[/name_u]
[name_u]Gale[/name_u]
Huron
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u]
[name_m]Malchior[/name_m]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u]
Remiel
[name_m]Sol[/name_m]
[name_m]Valor[/name_m]
[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]

When I think of soft and whimsical boys’ names, I immediately go to vowel-ending names like:
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Eli[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
Or “rare letter” names like:
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]

[name_u]Everest[/name_u] is nice because it is less common than [name_u]Everett[/name_u] although I feel like he would get called [name_u]Everett[/name_u] mistakenly. [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] is okay but I don’t like it enough to use. I used to like [name_m]Axel[/name_m] until I read a post where the name was mispronounced Ass-hole by a 3 year old!

I like [name_m]Odin[/name_m] keeping with the Norse theme!

[name_m]Alaric[/name_m]
[name_m]Anders[/name_m]
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m]
[name_m]Arno[/name_m]
[name_u]Emory[/name_u]
[name_m]Ingram[/name_m]
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m]
[name_m]Levin[/name_m]
[name_m]Raynor[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Thorin[/name_m]

I think [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is known enough on it’s own because of the mountain that every now and again you might get someone who needs correction, but [name_u]Everett[/name_u] isn’t common enough to automatically assume the comparison. It’s definitely memorable without being too out there for traditionalists! Bit of a sweet spot.

I’ll do some more pondering

[name_m]Thor[/name_m].

I also do not want a boy’s name that is TOO norse if that makes sense. À la [name_m]Odin[/name_m], [name_m]Thor[/name_m], etc as then if we were to have another I don’t think I could keep the theme going. [name_m]Espen[/name_m] was nice because it is not obviously Scandinavian, at least to me it wasn’t. I also do really like [name_u]Everest[/name_u], it is growing on me. Other than those two, the other names haven’t hit the spot with me haha. Sorry! So picky.

I think you are right! Thank you!

[name_u]Everest[/name_u] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] sound so cool together!

Here are some more:
[name_m]Rune[/name_m]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_u]Orion[/name_u]
[name_m]Cannon[/name_m]
[name_m]Leander[/name_m]
[name_m]Hermes[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
[name_m]Gage[/name_m]
[name_m]Jett[/name_m]
[name_m]Brewer[/name_m]
Eivind
Yohan
[name_m]Lochlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Miller[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Noble[/name_m]
Vox
Revere
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]
[name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_u]Florian[/name_u]
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_m]Jago[/name_m]
[name_m]Warren[/name_m]
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m]
[name_m]Mace[/name_m]
[name_m]Eamon[/name_m]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]

Oakland
[name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]
[name_m]Callaway[/name_m]
[name_u]Armani[/name_u]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_u]Hartley[/name_u]
[name_u]Blaze[/name_u]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
Ryot

I do like [name_u]Everest[/name_u] and [name_m]Espen[/name_m]. I have a hard time with boys names too, my husband likes very traditional names and i like pretty out there names.

I immediately thought of [name_f]Briar[/name_f] as a suggestion. Other names from my own list you may like…

[name_m]Theron[/name_m]
[name_m]Tavish[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezio[/name_m]
[name_u]Vale[/name_u]
[name_m]Rainier[/name_m]
[name_u]Milan[/name_u]
[name_m]Warrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxfield[/name_m]
[name_u]Oberon[/name_u]

Would [name_m]Slade[/name_m], meaning “from the valley” appeal?
