Yesterday morning we welcomed our second child - a beautiful baby boy named [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]! He is a brother for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
We chose [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] at my husband’s suggestion as he liked the name…which was pretty much the only name on my list he did like! I liked [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] a lot too and felt it’s a good match with [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
[name_m]John[/name_m] is an honour name for my husband’s paternal grandfather. His paternal grandmother is 95 and has seven great granddaughters. In fact, our [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is the first boy born into the family in over 35 years and their only chance of carrying on the family name so they’re all very excited as you can imagine! [name_m]John[/name_m] also happens to be my dad’s name as well as a widely used name on both sides of our family.
We had a harder time deciding on the first middle name, but ultimately settled on [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] because of its strong meaning (“defender of men”). It’s a warrior name and so is he!
Thanks to the Nameberry community for helping name our son and responding to my many polls! We are delighted with our gorgeous little man and his name suits him perfectly!
