So I was asking my husband about the name [name]Everett[/name], I love it. He said he doesn’t like it but he likes the name [name]Everest[/name]. I was surprised that I actually really like the name [name]Everest[/name]!
I am not normally a fan of place names like [name]Paris[/name], [name]London[/name], [name]Brooklyn[/name] etc but for some reason I am liking this one a lot.
[name]Do[/name] you guys think this is too weird? Does it clash with my sons name [name]Leo[/name]?
I would use a really tradition middle name go balance it out, maybe something like [name]Everest[/name] [name]Philip[/name] or [name]Everest[/name] [name]Theodore[/name].
I think [name]Everest[/name] is lovely! I don’t think it’s weird at all! I think it’s very masculine and Mt. [name]Everest[/name] just enhances that image. Hmm…[name]Leo[/name] and [name]Everest[/name]…I can see it working. I think [name]Leo[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Everest[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] would be a great sibset!
[name]Everest[/name] definitely has the ‘cool’ factor since it stands for, well, the most well-known mountain top of today. But while the name is also original (a plus), I have to say I still prefer the more classic and stylish sounding [name]Everett[/name]. I think it pairs better with your other son [name]Leo[/name] (another traditional pick) and despite [name]Everest[/name] and [name]Everett[/name]'s similarities, I think [name]Everett[/name] just sounds more masculine.
I like both [name]Everest[/name] and [name]Everett[/name]. [name]Both[/name] mn sound fine to me, but I am not picky when it comes to middle names and sibsets. Best wishes!
[name]Everest[/name], for me, is one of those cool nature names like Raineer (I know I mispelled that!), [name]River[/name], [name]Lake[/name], etc. I think it’s definitely useable.
I like it. It is different, but somehow doesn’t feel really “out there”. Still, remember that you’ll be hearing, “Like Mount [name]Everest[/name]?” a lot, but as long as that doesn’t bug you I think it’s a cool name. The only thing I’d caution is to consider your and your husband’s height and how tall your kids will likely be. I don’t think you have to be tall to pull off [name]Everest[/name], but a boy [name]Everest[/name] who is really short might feel ridiculous.
I’ve been liking [name]Everest[/name] lately, too. I don’t think it’s too weird, in a world of Chinas and Parii (I’m trying to make a plural of [name]Paris[/name]). Although it’s not quite matched with [name]Leo[/name] ([name]Leo[/name] would need another nn, like [name]Max[/name] or [name]Jack[/name]), I’ve been thinking lately that that’s a good thing. For one, it doesn’t trap you in any sort of naming pattern, and two, it gives each child his/her own unique identity within the family.
I actually know an [name]Everest[/name]… I never really thought of Mt. [name]Everest[/name] until it was brought up here. To me, he is just [name]Everest[/name] the person, not [name]Everest[/name] the mountain.
That being said, I really like [name]Everest[/name] [name]Philip[/name]. I think the double three syllable sounds a little strange in [name]Everest[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Theodore[/name] also seems really close to [name]Leo[/name]…
[name]Everest[/name] is totally usable. To me it’s a nice step down from mythology names ([name]Odin[/name], [name]Thor[/name], [name]Hercules[/name]…)
Yes, [name]Everest[/name] is usable. Does it have the depth and history of a name like [name]Leo[/name] or [name]Augustin[/name]? Nope, not for me. It’s not a classic and it’s a trendy place name. I also hear “ever rest” which reminds me of death and funerals.
