I have an unusual name

So, my middle name is “Omia” it was my grandma’s name. I have never been too fond of the name until recently, she passed away 4 years ago. She was my best friend and my heart longs to be close to her. I would love to honour her in my little girls name.

Could you give some first name options that flow well with it, or when some middle names…

[name_f]My[/name_f] name is “Casandra Omia”.

I love middle names that honor family. It’s such a special connection! Honestly, my feeling with my kids middle names was, if it’s not a family name with some personal meaning, why bother even giving them one?

Regarding your middle name, I would go longer for a first name, otherwise you risk the combo sounding like a medical condition. (As in, “Doctor, the patient has a terrible case of Jane-omia!”) It seems like your parents knew this, too, and so went with [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] (one of my favorites!) I would also try to go with a first name that ends in a consonant sound, to avoid the dipthong (double vowel.)

[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] Omia
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] Omia
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] Omia
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] Omia

Good luck!
