I have my top 8! What do you think?

I have officially got my top 8 that I may use when I get pregnant in 2020/2021. I would love your opinion on the combo and flow. There are reasons behind choosing most of these names and they can be found HERE.
What names would be best for sisters, in your opinion? I am liking [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] combos together due to meaning connection.

I personally like rosalind callista the best.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] lillian juno is also cute!

I agree with you about [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] together. This is probably my favorite combination!

My favorite names from your top 8 are [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f], [name_f]Theia[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], and [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Sena[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] for the middle name [name_f]Bee[/name_f], which is absolutely adorable. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Amara[/name_f], but [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Sena[/name_f] is a perfect set of middle names. [name_f]Theia[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is my favorite overall!

Anything I didn’t put in my favorites are not my personal style, but still beautiful. I don’t see a problem with flow in any of your names.

Not a fan of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I love [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. That alone is amazing

I also love [name_f]Theia[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] as first names. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] chooses

Thank you Goth Beans.

Thank you <3

Thank you Feather! <3

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Raine[/name_f] is my most favourite of all. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the sound, love the flow, and especially love the meaning!

[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] I really like the meanings of as well though [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Juno[/name_f] aren’t really my style, I love the flow!

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is my preferred second middle here and I also love the meaning of this one!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] has beautiful meaning and [name_f]Bee[/name_f] is a really sweet name and nickname for her.

[name_f]Theia[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] has such a pure sound and imagery! I really like the flow of this one.

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Sena[/name_f] I love the look and sound of and each of the meanings are really sweet! I must admit I was unsure about the pronunciation of [name_f]Sena[/name_f] until I saw your recent post about it but if I had not seen how you like it, I would not have known at all! I’ve been saying it wrong this whole time :frowning:

[name_f]Geneva[/name_f] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] the meaning of [name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Goddess[/name_f]… that is so pretty. I love this combo.

[name_f]Nadia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] has great simple meaning in each name and they all work together nicely. I really love this new addition! <3

Thank you so much! Love the detail you do in posts.

Your [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] combos are my favorites and I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] would be a wonderful sister set.

Sylvie Cordelia Raine - Lovely meanings, although I think that spelling of Raine just makes me think of the weather. Sylvie is gorgeous, one of my favourites. Cordelia is ok, I’ve never really loved it because it feels a bit pretentious to me - although it being a name from Buffy and Anne with an E does endear me. Raine is lovely, I’ve always liked it (slightly prefer Raina, but it wouldn’t flow well here). Overall I’d give this one a ‘decent’ but I don’t love.

Freya Lillian Juno - Freya is lovely, Lillian is lovely, Juno is lovely. I’m not sure if I love them all together though - sorry! I just don’t think Lillian in the middle slot helps the flow very well. I know it’s not generally the done thing to have two ‘-a’ ending names next to each other, but Freya Liliana Juno just sounds better to me. I also wonder if Freya and Juno is too much ‘Goddess of Women’ in one go? I don’t think it really matters that much, especially as they sound so different, but for me if a name is going to have multiple Goddesses they should be of different things.

Rosalind Calista Joy/Jay - I think the flow of this is perfect. Rosalind and Calista go SO well together. Personally I like Joy best here, I think the ‘oy’ sound fits best. But I love the idea of using a bird name at the end too, I don’t know if Jay is the best choice, but it certain works and if it has meaning then absolutely go for it. If it’s just for aesthetic then I think there could be other one syllable bird names out there? (And I don’t just mean ‘Wren’ :stuck_out_tongue: Sparrow could work there, for example)

Clara Wilhelmina Bee - CLAR-uh or Claira? If it’s CLAR-uh, I really like it. I don’t know if Clara Wilhelmina has a great flow it it, I think it’s because of the strong L sound and the ‘-a’ ending, but I don’t know what could go in it’s place, so if you love it I don’t think ‘not great flow’ is a deal breaker. Bee as a second middle is gorgeous, although it’s really just an animal/nature name to me, rather than the nn of Beatrix.

Theia Lorelai Quinn - I really love this combination. Theia Lorelai feels tailored and unique without being crazy. I’ve never loved the name Quinn, but I think it works here. An alternative could be Jin/Jyn (Jyn is a ‘Star Wars’ name but Jin is Chinese and could mean: Gold, Tapestry/Embroidered, or Ferry depending on Chinese symbol used, I think you could get away with Jyn and one of those meanings) but I’m totally just throwing ideas out there - feel free to ignore.

Amara Juliette Sena - Lovely! Amara is pretty and different without being wild, Juliette is gorgeous and Sena is love. You were so right about Sena having really beautiful meaning.

Geneva Harlow Selene - It’s ok, I like Geneva and Selene, I’ve never been a big fan of Harlow but it’s not a bad name. I just don’t know if they all go together, Harlow seems so stylistically different that it just feels a bit out of place. For example Geneva Harriet Selene feels more stylistically cohesive. I also don’t love Harlow’s meaning. It’s ok, but I’m not sold.

Nadia Vivienne Cleo - ‘Hope • Life • Glory’! That’s such a great set of meanings to put into one name! Feels like a very Rainbow baby name, also gives me a some religious vibes but I think that’s just because I’m used to religious language and rhetoric and not intrinsic to the name. I’ve never really liked Nadia, it feels dated and clunky to me, but it’s not a bad name. Vivienne and Cleo are darling.

I’d say Rosalind Calista Joy/Jay, Theia Lorelai Quinn, and Amara Juliette Sena are my favourites. With Nadia Vivienne Cleo coming in close behind.

Thank you so much [name_f]Erin[/name_f] <3

Maerad! Thank you so much for the time and thought you put into your reply! It challenged some of my opinions on my combos and then I settled. The name has too much meaning in that spot to care a bout the flaws you perceived.
And here are my thoughts as I read -
Raine is there for the rain and watery vibe. So I love that you did pick up on that. I used to feel the same way about Cordelia but Hubby loves it so much I overlook it.
I did have the same feel as you with Freya and Juno but I said “F” it, Juno reminds me more of my grandparents as the name is a variant honouring them and Mythology is purely amazing. I also connect it to the butterfly more so (Dione Juno) which I just realised could be a nod to my E.D angel. I have thought of Lilliana but I just don’t feel the closeness.
Rosalind is my name to honour how close my partner and I are - his initials are R.C and mine are C.J put them together and you get R.C.J XD cheesy but I really love it. If a girl is born on the 1st, 11th or anywhere in July I will be using this I think.
CLAR-uh please  My DH put Wilhelmina in there and I have kind of loved it. I have thought MAYBE swapping Clara and Amara around for the reason you said but IDK. I do feel attached now XD
Jyn… Star Wars… Ohhh that is nice… Quinn is only here due to our love of pop cultures Batman and Harley Quinn is my favourite character and story from the franchise so far. Rosalind Calista Jyn… oooo I think I like that too.
Harlow is for Good Charlotte - I feel like if it were not for one of their songs I may not be here. I do see what you mean stylistically but then I feel Geneva and Harlow are such strong unique yet familiar names that it does go in that respect. Selene makes it more grounded and more known (lack of better word/s)
I am loving my new addition so I may sound protective here - Nadia in my opinion feels fresh to my ears, a tad clunky but with Vivienne a name that is sooo known and flows and Cleo that sound melodic it balances it… At least in my ears.

Thank you so much for the challenges of making sure my opinion on my names are solid and also the love you gave!

[name_f]Glad[/name_f] I can help!
Knowing all your reasoning I totally understand why you’d want to keep the names as they are!

I think the only bit worth discussing is [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] vs Jyn, I’m also into most things nerdy/pop culture-y and I’d argue for Jyn over [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] just because I’ve never really connected with [name_u]Harley[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (also I’m generally more of a [name_f]Marvel[/name_f] fan, not anti-DC though!). But I think either name really works in that spot, so it’s up to you!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] wins.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your names!! [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] Viviene [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] has such an amazing sound and meaning, [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] Raineis so elegant and earthy, [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] is sleek and stunning, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] is bright and clear and I really like the others too.

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] are great for sisters!

I also like the idea of:
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Theia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]

Groovy. I love that [name_u]Harley[/name_u] is similarly messed as me XD but I do love a good [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars name [name_m]Frey[/name_m] will be NN [name_u]Rey[/name_u] .

Thank you [name_u]Grey[/name_u]! I love the way you described the names and the sibsets are sweet!
