I’m not expecting or anything, I just wanted to see what you think of my list. I love vintage, classic names which have the timeless beauty that a made up name wouldn’t have. I’m not mad about names which are really unusual or out there. I also love Irish names.

Aw, I smiled at [name]Lynsey[/name]. I’ve always liked that name with that spelling.

I also like [name]Ava[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Rebecca[/name] (though I prefer [name]Rebekah[/name]), [name]Amelia[/name], and [name]Leah[/name]. Oh, and [name]Madeleine[/name].

Charlieandperry1, I can’t use [name]Anna[/name] as it is my name. I love [name]Eleanor[/name],[name]Laura[/name], [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Cora[/name].I’ve had some bad experiences with Erins, Caitlins and Saoirses so I won’t use them. I don’t think nicknames are ever necessary, I don’t like them very much. I almost always call people by their full first name anne no one has ever used nicknames with me. So I wouldn’t worry about that for [name]Esther[/name] :slight_smile:

[name]Leah[/name] – A nice, cute sound to it. Plain, but if you like plain it’s great!

My moms name is [name]Esther[/name] and I think it’s lovely! She has never went by a nickname other than occasionally “[name]Queenie[/name]” as in [name]Queen[/name] [name]Esther[/name] in the Bible :slight_smile:

I instantly think [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gardner[/name] when I hear it and she was so beautiful.I know it sounds unlikely but i’ve never met one single [name]Charlotte[/name] in my whole life, so it’s not over used in my area.

Bugby003, I think [name]Queenie[/name] is a nice nickname for [name]Esther[/name], but I think [name]Esther[/name] is so beautiful on it’s own it doesn’t need a nickname.

The reason I am not crazy about [name]Teagan[/name] is that it strikes me as rather cutesy and not very feminine. In naming my kids, I found myself leaning towards names with some history to them instead of something trendy. That is just my personal preference. There are definitely much worse names than [name]Teagan[/name] out there - imo. I like it better than a lot of unisex names, for example. As for the question of whether you should ever use it… if you and your future child’s father both really [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Teagan[/name] and it feels right for your child, than yes, by all means you SHOULD use it!
