I heard this on the playground today and I really like it, wdyt?

[name]Zia[/name]
Apparently in Arabic it means joy? That’s what her parents say anyhow.
It’s like [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] combined, and I really like it! Have you berries heard this name before? What do you think of it?

I like it, too! I came across it on another forum some time ago, but I like [name]Zinnia[/name] nn [name]Zia[/name] (or even [name]Nia[/name]) a bit more. It just feels too incomplete on its own for me. The person on the other forum was planning on doing [name]Zia[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name], I think. It’s pretty and zippy!

Never heard it before, I like it.

It’s new to me, but I like it.

Nameberry says it’s Hebrew and means “light,” BtN says it’s Arabic and means “splendor, light, glow.” Either way, lovely meaning!

[name]Zia[/name] is the main male character on the movie Wristcutter’s. I fell in love with it a few years ago after seeing that movie.

it means aunt in italian

I heard it on an episode of the Simpsons. It was a futuristic episode, all the kids were grown up and had their own children. [name]Lisa[/name]'s daughter’s name was [name]Zia[/name]. I love it! it’s very cool.

Its very sweet!

[name]One[/name] of my friends is a [name]Zia[/name] actually! Her family a) are very Jewish b) chose other Z names for her sisters; Zarabeth, [name]Zaida[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], Zayla. It is a zippy and distinctive name amongst all of the softer short vowel names.

I actually really like it! It’s cute, spunky and unique!

I think [name]Zia[/name] is very nice. Sweet, yet zestful - my kind of style!

Yeah, I heard it (I mean read) from a novel. I like that name. simple and pretty.

Cute! Is it zee-ah or zy-ah?

[name]Zee[/name]-a.
And taz, yes I found out that it means aunt in Italian! I guess if I used that name, she’d have to go by her middle name every time she travels to Europe. Haha
Well, I’m glad you berries like it! And that some of you have heard it before! It’s not even in the top 1000.

[name]Zia[/name] is my eldest daughter’s name so needless to say I love it

I’ve had mostly positive feedback on it and it is rarely mispronounced.

Awesome name!

[name]Love[/name] the suggestion of [name]Zinnia[/name] nn [name]Zia[/name] - how cool is that?!

xo [name]Viv[/name]

[name]Glad[/name] y’all like it!

I agree, it’s got a lot of personality for such a small name. Not realy a known name yet it’s familiar enough and easy to say and spell. I think it’s a lot of fun.

I know a girl named [name]Xia[/name] actually - long I (z/eye-uh) I like that better than [name]Zee[/name]-uh

I love both [name]Zia[/name] and [name]Xia[/name].
