I am having my third girl and picking a name has become overwhelming. My other girls names are [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name]. I think I like classic/ older names. Names I like include, [name]Nora[/name], [name]Cora[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Ada[/name], and [name]Brynn[/name]. I am leaning to [name]Vera[/name], but not any one name makes me think that’s the one. Need others opinions/ suggestions.
The names you listed above are all on the shorter end - so really the opposite of my style. But here are a few outliers that are on my shorter name list that I really like.
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Helen[/name]/a
[name]Posey[/name]
[name]Velma[/name] (I just watched Chicago last night and was struck by how great this very underused name was).
I love [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] from your list. They both scream 1920’s to me, which I love. I would be inclined to go with [name]Vera[/name] for you, mainly to not repeat a letter, but [name]Claire[/name], [name]Gwen[/name], and [name]Cora[/name] fit together just as well as [name]Claire[/name], [name]Gwen[/name], and [name]Vera[/name].
I just love [name]Vera[/name] so much! It has really grown on me the past couple weeks…
[name]Ruby[/name] is another that has the same feel for me as others on your list. [name]Claire[/name], [name]Gwen[/name], and [name]Ruby[/name] would be very nice as well
[name]Claire[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name] are great names! [name]Vera[/name] is a really nice name and it fits well. [name]Just[/name] curious, how are you pronouncing it?
I love the pp’s suggestion of [name]Ruby[/name]!

[name]Willa[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Tess[/name]
I always have a difficult time deciding between [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] myself. With [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name], I really love [name]Nora[/name]. [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] both share the hard “C” sound and I would perhaps avoid that. I also like the above suggestions of [name]June[/name] and [name]Ruth[/name]!!
I really like the names you have picked! It is hard to suggest any one over the other. I think I like [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] the most and they both go well with [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name]. I also like [name]Lacy[/name], [name]Iris[/name] and [name]June[/name].
I like the combo of [name]Claire[/name], [name]Gwen[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]. I also like [name]Vera[/name] but see the name [name]Nora[/name] as a little sister more than [name]Vera[/name] I guess.
I love [name]Gwen[/name]! Such an underappreciated beauty. [name]Claire[/name] is a classic too. I’d go with [name]Vera[/name], [name]Ada[/name], [name]Nora[/name], in that order. I feel like [name]Claire[/name] carries such an image of clarity, and [name]Gwen[/name] is such a grounded, peaceful name, so [name]Vera[/name] with its meaning of truth and its simple womanliness (as opposed to girlyness) fits perfectly. [name]Ada[/name] has an elemental simplicity and grace similar to your other names, and it may be my favorite in terms of pure musicality… but I fear it might be the next trend in the wake of [name]Ava[/name] (if that matters to you.) [name]Nora[/name] is simple, yet has a kind of shadowy beauty to it I like a lot. You can’t really go wrong. Any middle name ideas?
The middle name will be [name]Jaclyn[/name], which I know doesn’t flow that well with any of the names. Its my mothers name and that is how she spells it. I like to use family names. I also think that [name]Ada[/name] might become popular like [name]Ava[/name], and also every time I say [name]Ada[/name] to people as a name choice they always respond with “[name]Ava[/name]”.
Knowing that her middle name will be [name]Jaclyn[/name], I start to like [name]Nora[/name] more. I think the rounder, darker sound of [name]Nora[/name] balances the bright, more modern crackle of [name]Jaclyn[/name]. [name]Nora[/name] [name]Jaclyn[/name]. [name]Vera[/name] [name]Jaclyn[/name] and [name]Ada[/name] [name]Jaclyn[/name] are both quite nice too. It’s hard! I like your naming taste. Names that are balanced and simple, yet not too common:
[name]Dinah[/name] [name]Jaclyn[/name]
[name]Alida[/name] [name]Jaclyn[/name] ("[name]Ah[/name] lid ah")
