[name_m]Just[/name_m] last week, my husband and I learned that our daughter [name_f]Anny[/name_f] is pregnant!
I am ready to do cartwheels, I’m so happy about this!!
Since I couldn’t find a grandparents’ section on the forums and I just had to post somewhere about this b/c I’m so dang happy LOL, I thought I’d hop in here.
[name_f]Anny[/name_f] and her bf are considering [name_f]Janella[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] [name_u]Payge[/name_u] for a girl. (She said they’ve decided they “want to use two middle names for uniqueness” though I’m not sure that’s quite so unique any more? But whatever, have 100 middle names for all I care! I’m gonna be a grandmother, YAY!) [name_f]Janella[/name_f] would be after her aunt (my husband’s sister) that she never got to know, as [name_f]Janella[/name_f] died in her teens long before [name_f]Anny[/name_f] was born. I love that they’re considering honoring [name_f]Janella[/name_f]'s memory that way!
They’re considering [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] for a boy. I think [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] are too rhyme-y to be used together like that. They also are considering [name_m]Daemon[/name_m] for a first name. I think [name_m]Daemon[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] sounds better than [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]Garrett[/name_m].
Aaaand they’re not the only ones considering names. My husband and I have been talking about what the baby will call us some day when s/he starts talking. The usual “grandma” and “grandpa” are fine, but, well, there are about a bazillion different grandparent names/titles/whateveryawannacallthem.
I like Grammy or Gramzy a lot. Really, really like Granna (kind of a cross between Grandma and [name_f]Nana[/name_f]). I know the baby will wind up calling us whatever s/he can manage to say when s/he starts talking. But we can provide a starting point, right?
OMG I am so excited!!
