I’m sad to hear that [name]Leo[/name] is out of consideration because I think the name goes better with [name]Avery[/name] than [name]Archer[/name] or [name]Roman[/name].
[name]Archer[/name] - shares an initial and a pronounced “er” sound with [name]Avery[/name]. It’s too similar for my liking
[name]Roman[/name] - not a fave of mine due to the association with convicted felon director [name]Roman[/name] Polanski. It’s a different style than [name]Avery[/name]. Have you considered [name]Rowan[/name] or the Irish [name]Ronan[/name]?
Sorry, but I love [name]Leo[/name] too.
[name]Archer[/name] I don’t mind but [name]Roman[/name] I don’t really like.
[name]Mischa[/name] - I much prefer both [name]Rowan[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name] to [name]Roman[/name]…I have tried and tried with both these names. The issue with [name]Rowan[/name] is not knowing the genders when seeing both on paper, I don’t have a problem with this at all and personally don’t really care if initially people aren’t sure of the gender, but my partner cares.
Thank you both for your thoughts. I should have stopped looking after [name]Leo[/name], my partner was on board with it at one point.
I voted for [name]Roman[/name]. Personally, I would go with [name]Leo[/name].
I actually prefer the name [name]Archer[/name], but I do not like sibsets that sound “matchy”
Thanks everyone! Looks like [name]Archer[/name] is leading. Would love to hear from [name]Roman[/name] supporters as to why that name was voted for…
I voted for [name]Roman[/name]
Because it’s less trendy, and more distinctly different from [name]Avery[/name].
I like both but unfortunately [name]Archer[/name] is in-style right now so it’ll probably tied to this era.
[name]Roman[/name] is more of a stand-out. Doubtful that he’ll share his name with any of his classmates. [name]Roman[/name] [name]Leo[/name] is a bit odd but not bad at all. It has such a hard, strong sound to counter the softer [name]Avery[/name]. Plus I love the nn [name]Rome[/name] (I’d probably call him [name]Romy[/name] at home :D)
Thank you both! I agree about [name]Roman[/name] [name]Leo[/name]… a bit too much maybe?
I don’t think [name]Roman[/name] [name]Leo[/name] is too much much, but there might be some reference I’m missing?
I voted for [name]Archer[/name] because (1) [name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name] has a fantastic sound to it, (2) I love [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Archer[/name] together, and (3) I don’t see [name]Archer[/name] being tied to this era. In my mind it’s one of those names that is always around but not heard very often. I don’t know any little Archers. I guess I can see the concern that it would follow the [name]Asher[/name] trend … it just seems very different than that trend to me. [name]Roman[/name] [name]Leo[/name] doesn’t flow very well and I agree that it doesn’t match stylistically with [name]Avery[/name] (though I’ve never been one to be too concerned about that, frankly).
I like the suggestion of [name]Rowan[/name]. I don’t see how that could be confused as a girl – it’s a boy’s name. If I saw siblings [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name], I would assume girl and boy, respectively. I also like [name]Leo[/name] a lot if that counts for anything.
[name]Roman[/name] [name]Leo[/name] ____ sounds fine to me. [name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name] isn’t any better [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Leo[/name] is a tough name to put in the middle. Is [name]Roman[/name] [name]Archer[/name] an option?
I find [name]Rowan[/name] totally manly but people are giving it to their girls. So [name]Avery[/name] & [name]Rowan[/name] could easily be 2 girls, 2 boys, or one of each
[name]Leo[/name] just has to be in there, it’s simply too meaningful to me to leave it out. I thought [name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name] sounded kind of cool, but yeah I’m sure opinions on this will vary.
I voted for [name]Roman[/name] simply because of not liking [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Archer[/name] together. My vote is actually for [name]Leo[/name]! Or [name]Hugo[/name]…
wow, if [name]Leo[/name] were in it, it would likely blow away the other 2. Need to re-visit that one as a first perhaps.
Catheyc - I’ve never met a little [name]Archer[/name] either- I think what you say about it makes sense to me as it has been around for a long time, just climbed significantly in 2009 - probably because of Hunger games? Not sure. So maybe it’s a good kind of trendy if it continues to climb…
I prefer [name]Archer[/name] to [name]Roman[/name], but prefer [name]Leo[/name] to either of those.
I like [name]Rowan[/name] much more than [name]Roman[/name]. Not much help am I?
