[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Fox[/name]
[name]Macaulay[/name] [name]Ryan[/name]
What about using it as a nickname for the name [name]Malcolm[/name]?
I like [name]Macaulay[/name]! It reminds me of the [name]Jimmy[/name] [name]Stewart[/name] character in [name]Philadelphia[/name] [name]Story[/name].
[name]Macaulay[/name] has a really strong association with [name]Macaulay[/name] Culkin - I’ve never heard it elsewhere, and that’s what everyone here would think of.
[name]Cormac[/name] also has a negative association, for me, of the guy on Tallifornia. However, in the US, no one I know is familiar with that, so I think outside of [name]Ireland[/name], it’s useable.
I’d choose [name]Cormac[/name] over [name]Macaulay[/name], largely for the association reasons, but I do actually prefer the name and sound altogether. If you’re in a different country, the associations might change.
[name]Macaulay[/name] [name]Ryan[/name].
I like [name]Cormac[/name] much more than [name]Macauley[/name] (too last namey to me), but I like the combo [name]Macauley[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] more than [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Fox[/name]. Did you have other mn options for [name]Cormac[/name]?
I much much much prefer [name]Cormac[/name]. It sounds like a very handsome name.
[name]Macauley[/name] reminds me way too much of [name]Macaulay[/name] Culkin and he creeps me right out. That association destroys the name for me. On top of that it does sound very trendy because of the MacSurnames being used as first names.
I think it’s a great nn for [name]Cormac[/name]. I personally think that the name [name]Cormac[/name] is great.
I really like [name]Macaulay[/name]!
I prefer [name]Cormac[/name].
I really like [name]Cormac[/name]. I’m not sure I love the fn/mn combo but, compared with [name]Macaulay[/name] (I just keep thinking Caulkin when I hear it) I think it’s the winner. You won’t find a [name]Cormac[/name] on every corner but it’s far from ‘crazy’, strange or made-up. If you don’t mind the inevitable association with [name]Macaulay[/name] Caulkin, [name]Macaulay[/name] is a handsome sounding name as well. Good luck!
I love [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Fox[/name]. Great combo!
I prefer [name]Cormac[/name]. I do associate [name]Macaulay[/name] with [name]Macaulay[/name] Culkin (though I doubt a child born these days would have any idea who he is), but I also just prefer [name]Cormac[/name] overall.
[name]Cormac[/name]! I’ve been loving that name lately.
I agree with [name]Malcolm[/name]. [name]One[/name] of my current loves.
I prefer [name]Cormac[/name] and like [name]Malcom[/name] better than [name]Macauley[/name] (I shy away from any name that is too associated with one person) but if you are simply going for nn [name]Mac[/name] you can us any of the Mc names:
[name]McCoy[/name]
McKay
[name]McArthur[/name]
[name]Micah[/name]
Also, a friend of mine growing up named [name]Michael[/name] went by [name]Mac[/name].
Oh please use [name]Cormac[/name]. I adore this name. It was our boy’s name for baby #3 and baby turned out to be a girl. She was our last, and I’ll always be sad that I didn’t get to use this amazing name. It beats your other option by a long shot!
