I like too many boy names

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] I’m currently 21+2 weeks with a baby boy :blue_heart:. I have a huge problem when it comes to naming him, I like too many boys names. I’ll give a few as an example but there is loads :see_no_evil:. What do I do ?

[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Abraham[/name_m]
[name_m]Castiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m]
[name_u]Loki[/name_u]
And typical my mind goes blank but those names are literally the top [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] was on the list but someone I don’t like has named their son [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] :see_no_evil:

Any advice/tips gratefully accepted

Since you have a wide range of names, my advice would be to start speaking each name outload in sentences. For example, “[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], it’s dinner time” or “[name_u]Loki[/name_u], time for school”. This way you can start figuring out what name is most suited/comfortable for you. It helps me! And if you want the name a surprise to everyone, do this “activity” by yourself.

From your list I like [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_m]Abraham[/name_m].
Goodluck!

Agree with PP about pretending to use it in everyday dialogue. I like to pretend to introduce them to different people, teachers/classmates, etc. I would also take into consideration how others will react to it, to an extent. Obviously the most important thing is that you love it, but remember it will be a real person’s name that they have to live with and wear every day for the rest of their lives.

Also, something I do is imagine it on a resume (sometimes I also imagine it on things like wedding invitations, graduation announcement, etc). I also try to think about how I would feel having that name (for girls) or try to picture boy names on my husband, you can even look back at old pictures from childhood and see how it would have fit as a child.
