I Literally CANNOT Decide. Help!

[Sorry to spam you guys!]

I’m an [name_f]Asian[/name_f]-American looking to change his surname to something more ethnic neutral – I don’t like my current. I’m stuck between:

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]

[name_u]Grey[/name_u] has the highest votes of other names combined. I’m unsure whether this name will fit when people meet me for the first time.

[name_u]Bay[/name_u] is the most practical transition for an [name_f]Asian[/name_f] person - since it can be interpreted as an Oriental name.

[name_u]Reed[/name_u] sounds the best to me, but I’m not in love with the spelling. There’s also a million [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] Reeds out there, and I’m unsure of whether it’s all that memorable of a name.

I think your current surname is lovely, but if you really want to change it I like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u]. [name_u]Grey[/name_u] might be a little too 50 Shades.

My vote goes to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Reed[/name_u], as it just looks cleaner, though the one you have now is great!

I like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] best. You might share it with others, but it still sounds polished.

Reed could also be spelt Reid or Read, perhaps? Or, if you’re a bit of a bookworm then you could use ‘Reads’. A personal injoke you could have about yourself maybe.

I really like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u] - have you considered [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Cove[/name_m]?

I agree with you. [name_u]Reed[/name_u] sounds the best. I know a reed spelled [name_u]Reid[/name_u]. I hope that helps !

I still say to keep your last name. I think hunk you will regret abandoning an important part of your heritage.

I don’t see a problem with your current surname. If you’re dead set on changing it though, I’d go with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u].

I second this.

I think he mentioned in another thread he’s shifting it to a middle name

[name_m]Ah[/name_m]. That would have been good for him to include for sake of flow then.

I third this!

My thoughts too!
