I live in the US but am OBSESSED with Europe name trends!!!

I am adoring the nickname as first name trend in Europe right now! Its cute, modern, and ages well, and I would definitely use these names for a child. Here’s a list of my favorite nickname-names.

I love the name [name]Jamie[/name] and my husband is insisting on it. And in that form - he says he doesn’t like [name]James[/name]. I hadn’t realized that there was a trend in Europe to use nicknames as formal names - how did you find that out? It seems that names here are more-and-more formal-sounding. I’ve been worried about the idea of naming our son something that sounds too informal… what do you think?
