@wintergarden sorry for such a delayed reply! Here are my ideas, hope you like them!
Charlotte Delilah - Karla Milena / Lota Milena
I already used Karla in another translation so I wanted something new and landed on Lota, which currently sits within Croatia’s top 50. Milena was chosen for its meaning “dear, gentle” as Delilah means “delicate”.
Penelope Hazel - Helena Mirta
Since we don’t use Penelope or any of its variants, I chose another name as old as time, Helena. Helena is very loved and a well-used name in Croatia, although not to the extent of being too popular. Mirta is a plant name I haven’t used before in this thread, and it’s a plant name meaning “myrtle”. It sound goes right along with Hazel’s spunkiness.
Vivienne Winslet - Vida Korana
Vida has also been used for a long time, and can either be an alternative name for Slavic goddess ŽIva / Zhiva, or come from Vid / Svetovid, another Slavic god. For Winslet (“Wynn’s channel or stream”) I chose Korana as it’s a beautiful name of a Croatian river, also used rarely as a given name.
Pronunciation: (realized I forgot to do Karla in the recording but I figure you’ve heard it before)
