I made a long list of potential middle names (had about 40), I narrowed it down to around 5, and out of these 5 my favourite was [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. But I feel like [name_m]Zane[/name_m] just doesn’t have the impact that I’m looking for in a middle name. I want something that sounds cool, but also a bit old-fashioned, and maybe a tad mythical. Hard to find a name that fits these criteria yes, but is [name_m]Zane[/name_m] that name? I do really really love it, but it feels less than awesome. The FN I’m trying to fit it with is ‘[name_u]Kieran[/name_u]’.
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] is a pretty “cool” names - at least that’s how I see it. I don’t think it is over used, but that may just be where I’m from.
I don’t know about the combination of [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m], though. It feels a bit clunky. Both name stress the first syllable, which makes it seem hard to say. Maybe keep [name_m]Zane[/name_m] for another FN, and find a simpler MN for [name_u]Kieran[/name_u]? Something that doesn’t have such a strong first syllable. Or if you really love [name_m]Zane[/name_m] maybe use it as a FN?
I don’t find it remotely average. It feels more edgy and cool.
