I need a 17th century German name!

Well I actually need multiple. I think [name_m]Franz[/name_m] was used as a boys’ name back then, so I do like that. My story takes place in the 1600s in Germany, and it’s about an immortal girl who meets the love of her life twice- in different generations. The first time in 1600s, and the second time in the early 2000s. So yeah, I need the names for side characters! :D:D If you could please drop a response, that would help me a lot ^^

I always find categories like this helpful when looking for historical names:

Wikipedia is a great resource, especially since there isn’t a compact, set list of Top 100 names for that time period or place. In any case, here a are a few names I found.

Masculine: [name_m]Johannes[/name_m], [name_m]Lorenz[/name_m], [name_m]Konrad[/name_m], Nikolaus, [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Georg[/name_m], [name_m]Heinrich[/name_m], Ehrhart
Feminine: Elsebeth, [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], Apollina, Bechte, Irmele, Bytzel

Side characters tend to blend in, so how about:
[name_m]Carl[/name_m] or [name_m]Hans[/name_m] for boys
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Kristine[/name_f] for girls

This website has some information about historical [name_m]German[/name_m] names:

The page “16th-17th Century Hessian Given Names and Surnames” may be most useful for you.

Bertholdt, [name_m]Reiner[/name_m], Eren, [name_m]Armin[/name_m], [name_m]Johannes[/name_m], and [name_m]Klaus[/name_m] for Males
And Ymir,[name_f]Amalia[/name_f], and [name_f]Klaudia[/name_f] (I couldn’t find many girls names and Ymir is unisex)
Ok
