[name]Hi[/name] there, I am starting to tear my hair out with this. I already have a daughter [name]Maya[/name] and am now expecting another wee girl in a couple of weeks. I just can not find a name I love. Please help me!
Names that have been considered include:
[name]Addison[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Emerson[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] (family name, although I am not a fan)
[name]Emeline[/name]
I don’t like unusual spellings and would actually prefer a pretty girly name (even though there are a few unisex names on my list!). I really love nicknames like [name]Emmie[/name], [name]Allie[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] (I think it’s the long ee sound I like.)
Could you please suggest some names the would sound good with my last name and work with my DDs name too?
What about [name]Cassia[/name]? It means “cinnamon” - cute! - and can be shortened to [name]Cassie[/name] for your nickname. [name]Cassia[/name] [name]Brown[/name]?

Names that have been considered include:
[name]Addison[/name] - both [name]Addison[/name] and [name]Brown[/name] end in “n”
[name]Lily[/name] - sounds like a brown lily.
[name]Emerson[/name] - [name]Emerson[/name] [name]Brown[/name] sounds like a man.
[name]Evelyn[/name] - both names end in “n”.
[name]Sienna[/name] - [name]Sienna[/name] is a type of brown paint.
[name]Harper[/name] - I like [name]Harper[/name] [name]Brown[/name], but it is very “r” heavy.
[name]Alice[/name] (family name, although I am not a fan) - [name]Alice[/name] [name]Brown[/name] sounds mundane.
[name]Emeline[/name] - both names end in “n”.
I love a previous poster’s suggestion of [name]Georgie[/name] [name]Brown[/name]. [name]Love[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] nn [name]Georgie[/name]!
[name]Maya[/name] [name]Brown[/name] is great. I will think about if there are any other names that are really pretty like [name]Maya[/name] and sound great with [name]Brown[/name]:
My suggestions:
[name]Emily[/name] – you have the long e sound, and you could also have a nn such as [name]Emmie[/name]
[name]Emerson[/name] – nn [name]Emmie[/name]
[name]Emeline[/name] – nn [name]Emmie[/name]
[name]Alison[/name] – instead of [name]Alice[/name], nn [name]Ally[/name]
I had to reply as we have a little [name]Maya[/name] (actually [name]Maia[/name]).
I love a lot of [name]Jill[/name]'s suggestions and some of [name]Lemon[/name]'s too. A lot are names that we considered for our second DD or would use in the future.
I will suggest some names to ‘match’ [name]Maya[/name] and then star my favourites! I have chosen names that I think are either pretty, sweet and simple or a little bit ‘exotic’
I love the name [name]Alice[/name] btw, even though it is different in style- a mn perhaps? [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] are lovely too, but the others aren’t to my personal taste.
There’s a [name]Lydia[/name] Browne in my sons school and I think it’s a really wonderful name plus it goes with [name]Maya[/name].If it were me I would definitely go for [name]LYDIA[/name].
My name is [name]Emily[/name] [name]Brown[/name]! It’s always worked well for me. My moms name is [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Brown[/name]. I think almost anything goes with [name]Brown[/name].
