I need a name that goes with

McAlister…

Hmmmm

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] Borges
OR
[name_f]Alena[/name_f] Borges
OR
[name_f]Malia[/name_f] Borges
?

I would go with [name_f]Alena[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Elena[/name_f], since [name_f]Alena[/name_f] is less common. [name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce it? [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-leen-a? Uh-leen-a? I think that all three names go well with your last name though!

Next step: [name_f]Alena[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Malia[/name_f]. In [name_m]French[/name_m], mal means bad, and since I speak a lot of [name_m]French[/name_m], that would be a reason I wouldn’t pick that name. BUT, if you don’t speak [name_m]French[/name_m] or live in a country where quite a few people speak [name_m]French[/name_m], that doesn’t matter! Here are some suggestions for you to consider that sound a bit like [name_f]Alena[/name_f] and/or [name_f]Malia[/name_f]:

[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alaina[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahliah[/name_f]
[name_f]Laelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Aliah[/name_f]

I’d go for [name_f]Elena[/name_f].

I love both [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_f]Malia[/name_f]. I’m not a fan of the [name_f]Alena[/name_f] spelling. I think I prefer [name_f]Elena[/name_f] by a hair, but both are beautiful.

[name_f]Thalia[/name_f] is actually a very usual name where we live so I wouldn’t chose it even though I love it. I actually think of [name_f]Elena[/name_f]/[name_f]Alena[/name_f] as uh-lay-na or ah-lay-na. And we don’t speak french at all! Thank you for sharing yout thoughts.
