  • Adelaide: 26 (27%)

I voted violet but honestly all 4 are beautiful. You can’t go wrong. See which one feels right when you meet her. Good luck and congratulations!

I voted for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]- So vintage, stylish, and classic! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] was a close second. One note: [name_f]Zara[/name_f] seems to be the odd one out stylistically with these names. The others feel a bit more vintage. That’s not to say you should discount it, it’s just a note. You absolutely can’t go wrong with any of these names. Congrats, and best of luck!

Congratulations! I voted for [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but I love all your choices! I think [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] would be my second choice, but they are all such lovely names that I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them.

I love that [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is so elegant and has an International vibe.

It was difficult to vote between [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but in the i pick [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], cause i just love lu names.

I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] over [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and so ultimately chose [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] are beautiful names!

I voted for [name_f]Zara[/name_f] as I find her spunky and cool yet classy and traditional at the same time.

I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] a lot, but she is very popular at the moment. That may not bother you.

I do like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], but here it doesn’t really stand out.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is not my style at all.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts on your list:

[name_f]Zara[/name_f]-I don’t know that I care for this one. It seems a little bit not like a real name.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f]-I love this, and it got my vote. It’s not going to get mispronounced or misspelled, it ages well, gives off the vibe of a beautiful flower yet it spunky and not overly fussy.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]-This name may end up being confusing, because some people will pronounce it ‘Loo-cee-uh’ and others ‘Loo-chee-uh’. I really like the former, and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are very sweet.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]-Beautiful. Classy, elegant, feminine, but not in a fru-fru way. Unfortunately, ‘[name_f]Addie[/name_f]’ names are just so overdone these days.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I absolutely adore [name_f]Zara[/name_f] & [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] would be my runner-up for those two. I’m not crazy about [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is my favorite!

I voted for [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] us divine!

I love both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]! You really can’t go wrong with either (or both as a first and middle.)

[name_f]Zara[/name_f] reminds me if the problematic clothing brand so I have a hard time loving it, and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is lovely but just doesn’t quite have the punch of personality that some of your other options have.

[name_f]Zara[/name_f]–Spunky. I know a little girl named Azara who gets called Zazi by her family. It’s cute.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]–Classic. A bit of a safe choice.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]–Not my style but I do love the chance to call her [name_u]Lou[/name_u].
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]–My husband had a Great-Aunt called [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] who went by [name_f]Adele[/name_f]. That could be an option to avoid the [name_f]Addie[/name_f] nickname.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], for sure. I do like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] as well, but [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is a favourite.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is gorgeous, so got my vote without hesitation.

[name_f]Zara[/name_f] would be my next choice. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] are nice, of course, but I tend to prefer names that are a little less common, and I hear/see [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] quite a lot compared to that others.

All such beautiful names! But my favourite is definitely [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], followed by [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Between [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] I would have to choose [name_f]Zara[/name_f]; although I do prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. But love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] :).

Thank you everyone. Some really insightful ideas here too. It’s so hard!

You’ve got such a fabulous shortlist.

My take:

[name_f]Zara[/name_f] - I have a niece called [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and it’s a great name - everyone says it right, it allows for plenty of cute Z nicknames and it’s quite posh-sounding. It’s a happy name.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - gorgeous imagery and lovely to say. Its only drawbacks are popularity and perhaps not always being the best name for all professional contexts (but that’s a small thing given your daughter will grow up with kids with all sorts of frilly and fun names). It’s a pretty and introverted name.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (Loo-see-a) and it is a name that has a lot of staying power — it’s not as hip vintage as a couple of the others. I am personally a bit tired of [name_f]Lu[/name_f]/[name_u]Lou[/name_u] names but [name_f]Cia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sia[/name_f] is a nice option. It’s an elegant choice!

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] - has my heart, with the options [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], Lady and [name_f]Della[/name_f] (which I far prefer over [name_f]Addie[/name_f]). This is a spunky choice for a girl/woman going places. But /And it’s a different, bolder feel than the others.

Good luck! (And if it helps, I still like a few girls’ names as much as what I called my daughter. Not realistic to think you’ll only love one name!)

I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is my runner-up
