I need the best boy name you can think of!

Berries, I really need your help please. We’re really having trouble picking out a baby boy name. Quite honestly its not my husband at all, he’s game for me making the final choice as long as its not feminine (I have no intentions of that) and he of coarse has to like it too! But its insanely hard for me to chose! I want the perfect name, that none of his friends will have growing up. I definitely want something different! I love surnames and I love nature and nautical names. Since we do, live at the beach. These are some of the names I like and love some. But I can’t seem to pick one. I’m not completely in love with one. I’m open an eager to hear all the names with the type of names I prefer!

Names so far
[name]Thayer[/name]
 [name]Leif[/name] ( pronounced [name]LAY[/name]·ff)
[name]Cillian[/name] ( I pronounce it Kill·yen correct me if that's wrong I think it is haha)
 [name]Scout[/name]
[name]Sayer[/name] ([name]Sawyer[/name] is getting too popular for me)
 [name]Sully[/name]
[name]Maverick[/name]
 [name]Cormac[/name]
 Copeland
 Yale

I love [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Leif[/name] as a first and middle name together! They are my favourites off you list, and happen to work well together. Here are a few more names for you to look at.

[name]Flynn[/name]
[name]Murphy[/name]
[name]Finian[/name]
[name]Everett[/name]
[name]Conroy[/name]
[name]Conan[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Egan[/name]
[name]Keegan[/name]
[name]Keelan[/name]
[name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Donovan[/name]
[name]Griffin[/name]
[name]Glenn[/name]
[name]Lorcan[/name]
[name]Callahan[/name]
[name]Gannon[/name]
[name]Reagan[/name]/[name]Regan[/name]
[name]Elias[/name]
[name]Porter[/name]
[name]Derrick[/name]
[name]Murray[/name]

[name]Scout[/name] is cool but I know some girl Scouts. Does it bother you?
Copland is nice but I only heard it as a last name.
WDYT of [name]River[/name]? It’s my favorite nature name for a boy and I think it isn’t very popular.
I also think [name]Beckett[/name], [name]Whistler[/name], [name]Naylor[/name], [name]Kyler[/name], [name]Lennon[/name] or [name]Blaine[/name] may appeal to you.

@bethlow That does sound good together! I also love [name]Egan[/name], [name]Gannon[/name] and [name]Callahan[/name]. Thank you!

@mclevine [name]Scout[/name] being used as a girl name does not bother me, I think its still a good boys name. Thanks, I actually love [name]River[/name] as a girls first name, it’s a top choice for girls? [name]Whistler[/name] really appeals to me, as well as [name]Beckett[/name]

What about [name]Sullivan[/name] nn [name]Sully[/name]?

[name]Fletcher[/name]
[name]Judson[/name]
[name]Thatcher[/name]

I do like [name]Sullivan[/name] nn [name]Sully[/name]. I love [name]Thatcher[/name], it was on my list, I decided not to put it up due to some people with strong options on it, because of the late [name]Margret[/name] [name]Thatcher[/name]. I still love it!

I’ve met a little girl named [name]Everest[/name], though I think it would work better as a strong boy’s name- Like [name]Everest[/name] [name]Reid[/name].

Also since you live by the beach, [name]Ocean[/name] would be a really cool and masculine boys name- Like [name]Ocean[/name] [name]Maverick[/name], [name]Ocean[/name] [name]Blaine[/name], or [name]Ocean[/name] [name]Leif[/name].

“[name]Cillian[/name]” is pronounced with 3 full syllables: “KILL-ee-an”.
Similar sounding names with 2 syllables: [name]Cian[/name] “KEE-an”; [name]Ciaran[/name] “[name]KEER[/name]-an”, Cianan “KEE-nan”

Hey did you know leif can be pronounced with the long e? As in leaf. Sounds pretty cool that way and has a nature sound! [name]Osheen[/name] or [name]Indigo[/name] would be my suggestions.

[name]Maverick[/name] has always been one of my favorites.

I saw you have [name]Sayer[/name], have you thought about [name]Saylor[/name]? I know it’s used for girl&boy. My friend had it as one of her choices, she didn’t know the gender until birth… but decided on [name]Poppy[/name] for her daughter.

[name]Hampton[/name], [name]Briggs[/name], [name]Lennox[/name], [name]Thatcher[/name], Rhykurt

[name]Everest[/name] is pretty cool but I can’t help but think of snowy mountains!
I haven’t thought of [name]Ocean[/name] as a boy name but I really like it, Thanks!

Oh, Thank you. I love [name]Cillian[/name] still

Yes, my husband will not let me use leaf, trust me I tried! [name]Indigo[/name] is cute but just a tad feminine for my boy, maybe the girl?

[name]Thayer[/name] - sounds like slayer with a lisp.
[name]Leif[/name] - I really like this name a lot, but keep in mind that a lot of people will mispronounce it and misspell it.
[name]Cillian[/name] - Not my favorite Irish name. I prefer [name]Ciaran[/name] and a few others. But nothing really wrong with it either.
[name]Scout[/name] - Great for a little boy or girl, not so great on a grown woman or man.
[name]Sayer[/name] - I prefer [name]Sawyer[/name]. [name]Sayer[/name] makes me think of naysayer and yea-sayer. Or Slayer.
[name]Sully[/name] - I really like [name]Sully[/name] as a nickname for [name]Sullivan[/name], which is so handsome and rugged sounding. [name]Sully[/name] as an actual first name is terrible. It literally means to soil or tarnish something.
[name]Maverick[/name] - [name]One[/name] of the better ones on your list. Still a little too “cool” for my tastes. It reminds me of the X-Men character [name]Maverick[/name].
[name]Cormac[/name] - My favorite on your list. Handsome and substantial, but uncommon.
Copeland - Not my cup of tea.

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Thane[/name]
[name]Theron[/name]
[name]Zane[/name]
[name]Wolf[/name]
[name]Auberon[/name]
[name]Blaise[/name]

I like [name]Saylor[/name] but unfortunately there are ALOT of little [name]Sailor[/name] girls and boys everywhere!

Haha, now that you mention it [name]Thayer[/name] does sound like a lisp when I say it. [name]Glad[/name] you like [name]Cormac[/name] its one of my favorites, I’m a bit worried it sounds to old. I love [name]Wolf[/name] as a middle name. Thanks!

We are naming our son [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name], my husband’s choice. I love the name but would have preferred [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Charles[/name]. I would love to see [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Charles[/name] used!

Awwh that is adorable, thank you we’ll add that to our list! My husband likes that

Have you considered [name]Oceanus[/name]? It was the name of the baby boy born on the Mayflower. I thought [name]Everest[/name] was a good suggestion. What about [name]Archer[/name]? [name]Arrow[/name], if you’re daring. [name]Titus[/name] is cool and masculine. [name]Emmett[/name] is masculine but still very sweet. [name]Kellan[/name] is a cool Irish name. My fav Irish name is [name]Seamus[/name], I think with [name]Shane[/name] right behind it and a little more useable this side of the pond. What about:
[name]Walker[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Truman[/name]
[name]Forrest[/name]
[name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Donovan[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]

Best of luck!

[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Leif[/name] is amazing!

[name]How[/name] about [name]Forrest[/name]?
