What do you think of the nickname [name_f]Nella[/name_f]? I actually think it’s really pretty even as a stand alone name. I never hear it being considered or suggested and was wondering what everyone thinks of it?
I’m not fond of [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] (reminds me of the rapper) and [name_u]Penny[/name_u] is cute but I hear it a lot. [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] I feel like is a bit of a stretch.
So whats the verdict? is [name_f]Nella[/name_f] is cute or weird?

The first thing I thought was salmonella. I don’t understand why you have to have a nickname.

You definitely don’t have to have a nickname for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but [name_f]Nella[/name_f] is really sweet and creative

I like [name_u]Penny[/name_u] and [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] the best of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]'s nicknames. [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] is underused [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I could maybe even live with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], but I don’t like it as much.
[name_u]Pepper[/name_u] is a great suggestion and definitely underused. My only concern is that there is a film about a pig called [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] AND of course there is Peppa Pig. I wonder if the double piggies might be too much to resist if picked up in the playground?
Actually, I like it. I prefer [name_f]Nella[/name_f] than [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] or [name_u]Penny[/name_u].

[name_f]Nella[/name_f] is great, and is the name of a wonderful author from the 20’s, [name_f]Nella[/name_f] [name_m]Larsen[/name_m].

The only [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] I knew [name_m]IRL[/name_m] (now in her 20s) went by [name_f]Loulou[/name_f].

Agreed! I like simple [name_f]Nell[/name_f] (probably because I adore [name_f]Nell[/name_f] from NCIS: Los [name_f]Angeles[/name_f]!), but I’ve never liked [name_u]Nelly[/name_u]. It just isn’t cute to me, and since the rapper came to be, I always think of him, as well. I don’t know about [name_f]Nella[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f], so I feel like I should love it.
