If our next baby is a boy we have 3 first name contenders. [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Conner[/name] and [name]Cameron[/name]. Right now I love all 3 and cannot decide, but I know we will be able to decide closer to the birth or after. Right now, I am more interested in finding middles to go with these choices.
We would really like to honor DH’s Grandparents with our next child. (If a girl, we will use his grandma’s names, she passed away)
His grandpa’s names are [name]Earl[/name] and [name]Elvine[/name] and I just can’t see myself using either of those two in their direct forms. We decided to either use the initials E.E. or choose a name with one of the same meanings. [name]Earl[/name] means “Nobleman, warrior and prince”. We found that [name]Alexander[/name] means “defending warrior” and we like the classic sound of [name]Alexander[/name]. We have found combos for [name]Gabriel[/name] and [name]Conner[/name] we like but not [name]Cameron[/name].
We like [name]Elias[/name] with [name]Cameron[/name] but not the two other E names we have chosen.([name]Evan[/name] or [name]Everett[/name]) they sound too similar. Which do you prefer out of these options?
[name]Cameron[/name] [name]Reid[/name] [name]Elias[/name] ([name]Just[/name] E.B. to honor, our original combo)
[name]Cameron[/name] [name]Reid[/name] [name]Alexander[/name](use meaning to honor)
[name]Cameron[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Elias[/name] (use both initials and meaning)
Also, the “R” in [name]Cameron[/name] and [name]Reid[/name] tend to run together which isn’t necessarily a deal breaker for us, but can anyone suggest another one syllable name for that spot? We don’t want the one syllable middle name 2nd because our last name is only one syllable and ends with D so [name]Reid[/name] _____d is abrupt.
Thanks in advance, I am really going crazy over the cameron combo!
