I said I didn't like A names

I normally don´t like A names, probably because I have one and it took me forever to not hate it. That said, [name_m]Avidan[/name_m] has been on and off my list for a couple of years. I feel like putting it back on my list permanently.

[name_m]Avidan[/name_m] is pronounced like [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vee-dahn. Both A sounds are soft as in [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. It means ¨my father judges¨ or ¨God is just.¨ I think I prefer the nn [name_u]Danny[/name_u] (again a soft A sound) as opposed to [name_u]Avi[/name_u]. My name is [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] nn [name_u]Abi[/name_u] and my Hebrew name is Avigayil (And [name_u]Abi[/name_u] in Hebrew would be [name_u]Avi[/name_u]) so I feel like it would be weird to use the nn [name_u]Avi[/name_u] for a kid of mine.

What do you think of [name_m]Avidan[/name_m] and [name_u]Danny[/name_u]/[name_u]Avi[/name_u]? Would others pronounce his name correctly?

My favorite combo is [name_m]Avidan[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Avidan[/name_m]!! It has a nice sound

I like [name_m]Avidan[/name_m]. It has a nice sound and a sophisticated, modern vibe.

I don’t find it hard to pronounce but from my experience, some people will butcher any name they’re unfamiliar with.

I had never heard it before but I think it’s very beautiful! [name_u]Danny[/name_u] is adorable as well.

I like [name_m]Avidan[/name_m] with the nickname [name_u]Danny[/name_u]. I agree [name_u]Avi[/name_u]/[name_u]Abi[/name_u] would be too close. Also, [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is a great middle name, so much so I can’t come up with anything else.

I really like how [name_m]Avidan[/name_m] sounds, although I do think that some people will mispronounce the name but people will always say things wrong. I love the nickname/name [name_u]Danny[/name_u].

I quite like it. I ready it wrong the first time, pronouncing the first A as a long a like at the start of [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]. I prefer [name_u]Danny[/name_u] to [name_u]Avi[/name_u].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Avidan[/name_m]! I really like the unique sounds. I dont think it would be hard for people to pronounce, but there’s always some people who mispronounce it. (my name is [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and people mispronounce [name_f]Louise[/name_f] all the time and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a much popular name. They call me [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] lol) I agree [name_u]Avi[/name_u] would be confusing, so I love [name_u]Danny[/name_u] as a nn!
