So over the last couple of days I’ve been really digging deep into boy names, and I think I’ve come up with one that just makes my heart melt. It basically has everything I love: it’s unique, has nature vibes, [name_u]Elias[/name_u] as an honor name (after my brother) and my all time favorite name [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] at the end. It still kind of hurts not to use [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] as a first, but well…sometimes you got to change things up! Besides, I love how the name sounds, it flows well.
Only thing is… Cassis is another name for black berries + it’s a place in [name_f]France[/name_f] + one of my friends cat is called Cassis
I do like more popular names like [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Castiel[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], Caspar/Casper, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] etc. but Cassis feels more earthly and unique. I feel like Cassis also goes well with my girl favorites [name_u]Lotus[/name_u] and [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f]. I also like it as a girls name. What do you think?
Cassis is certainly interesting and I love the nickname [name_u]Cass[/name_u] for a boy. [name_f]My[/name_f] first association with Cassis is the liqueur, however, which does put me off a little as I’m not generally a fan of alcohol-inspired names. But I do like it in theory and I think it works well for either sex.
Such a gorgeous combo! I’ve never heard of Cassis before but I really like it.
I admit it would really bug me if my friend had a cat with that name tbh But if it feels like THE name, then don’t let that stop you
I love it! I think it’s so handsome wow!! [name_u]Happy[/name_u] for you - I’m yet to find THE name (although I don’t think I’ll be expecting a baby for a while anyway haha!)
So you just introduced me to this name Cassis and I love it! I agree that the other [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- names are quite nice but Cassis hits differently. I don’t think the blackberry or [name_f]France[/name_f] thing is a problem at all, and at least for me, the cat would only be problematic if you saw them all the time.
Cassis [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] is lovely and goes perfectly with [name_u]Lotus[/name_u] and [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] for a girl but could definitely picture Cassis on a girl or a boy.
Although not my personal taste, I - to my own surprise - actually adore the flow and personal significance to you, of [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u].
I think that juuust [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u], as is, is a fabulous name. Cassis diesnt flow very well with [name_u]Elias[/name_u] right after, and Cassis looks too easily mistaken for [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], very much a girl’s name. If you or your kid live or might at some pt in the future live in a [name_u]French[/name_u] speaking country, ppl might call him [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]. :[
I love it! Cassis is so cool, it feels similar to [name_m]Bramble[/name_m] or [name_u]Thistle[/name_u].
I really like Cassis for you, I think it works especially well with [name_u]Lotus[/name_u].
But if it feels like THE name, then don’t let that stop you
