I think I have found the perfect name

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, I am 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first little girl is [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. We don’t know the sex of this second one.

I have posted before for some ideas on names as my husband and I have different name styles but I think I have found the perfect boys name now - [name_m]Louis[/name_m] ([name_m]French[/name_m] pronounciation).

Husband says he still prefers [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] or [name_m]Leroy[/name_m] but does like [name_m]Louis[/name_m]. Middle name will be [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. My only reservation is the pronunciation issues we could be opening him up to. Thoughts on [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]?

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a beautiful name and goes really well with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. There are two ways to pronounce it, but both are very familiar so if you correct someone once, they most likely pronounce it the right way after that.

Personally I don’t like [name_m]Louis[/name_m] or [name_m]Jack[/name_m], but I think it fits with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. I also don’t like how [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] sounds, it’s just off. The names at both short and don’t balance each other out. Something like [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] would sound better I think, or maybe [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] go with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. I like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and if you’re not bothered by having to correct people on the pronunciation then go for it.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Cute and sophisticated

I adore the name [name_m]Louis[/name_m]! It has such a beautiful, soft, sensitive sound and pairs beautifully with the lovely [name_f]Grace[/name_f] for that reason. I think [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a gorgeous combo. I also really love [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] but I don’t think it goes quite so well with [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is phenomenal! Much better than [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]

I like it! I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation of [name_m]Louis[/name_m] too. I think there’d be a lot of people who would say it like [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], but it would be easy enough to correct them. You could always spell it as [name_m]Louie[/name_m] instead to avoid that, though I personally prefer how [name_m]Louis[/name_m] looks.

Agree with pp, both pronunciations are very familiar and it shouldn’t be a massive problem. Especially as people usually introduce themselves / are introduced verbally, in which case it’s more of a spelling issue ([name_m]Louis[/name_m] vs [name_m]Louie[/name_m]), although again [name_m]Louis[/name_m] is very classic so would probably be the default spelling for “LOO-ee”.

I think [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] sounds fine! @katinka has a great point about the sound complementing [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and I really love [name_f]Grace[/name_f] & [name_m]Louis[/name_m] as a sibset! I think [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is one of the loveliest names in the world

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is such a sweet name, and fits well with sister [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
