I’ve never used this before and I was originally going to never use this account again but I need to ask this before I forget about the idea because I really like it anyway please help

Wow that was a long title. Okay so I’m writing a fantasy story, and there are three princesses, they’re triplets, there’s the separated at birth stuff that features in every 12-year-old’s gacha stories but bear with me. I just need a name for the youngest-acting one, she’s actually the oldest but she acts kind of like a little kid cause of stuff I’m not going to get into right now. But they’re princesses and the other one, the one who went to live with family and didn’t get dumped on a random group of witches which is how the middle one ended up with the name Maysee, will have a fancy kind of name so I thought maybe the one this is about should have a long, royal name but then she’s got a nickname. Scrolling through other people’s posts on here, I found ‘Birdie’ which I think is a perfect nickname but now I can’t think of a good full name. I thought maybe [name_f]Belladonna[/name_f] because that’s very fantasy but also kind of dark, and it hints at how dangerous she can be which yes, she is dangerous, and yes, her character is kind of dark, but I feel like [name_f]Belladonna[/name_f] is everywhere and I can’t really see how it would translate into [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. Then I thought maybe [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] but that doesn’t really seem like the kind of name they would have, there are too many softer-pronounced consonants, and again, doesn’t really fit the nickname that well.
So, to summarise, I need a long, complicated fantasy name that fits with the nickname [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] so probably starts with B but doesn’t have to, and if possible is also kind of creepy.
Also sorry for you having to read the chaos of the first part but I just spent ages typing it out and I can’t be bothered to go back and make it make sense.
Wait I hope I’m going about posting this right. [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] I hit ‘+ Create Topic’ and it does something that isn’t like what everyone else’s posts look like…

The first name I thought of was Bernadette but that might not be creepy enough - Albirdia, maybe? Or Auberdelle? also thought of Idalia, which might be a possibility but a stretch for the nn Birdie.

P.S. your post looks just fine

Thanks for more names! I might change [name_f]Berenice[/name_f] up a bit and have Birineece. I have too many options now lol.

Okay, having kind of shoved these suggestions together for her first name and added in the other ones I had and some from other people’s name lists, again, shoved together and mixed around a bit:

  • Birdie’s full name is Biridebrynn [name_u]Fable[/name_u] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Selen[/name_f]
  • Her middle sister is called Maysee Lelacarma Utter
  • Their youngest sister is called Oreleira (Orie) Luelle Selen-Elavorre
Birdie’s surname is from the name of the kingdom she is meant to be ruling, [name_u]Orie[/name_u] was adopted by their aunt and uncle, so she also took her adopted father’s surname of his kingdom, and Maysee was taken in by a group of witches who gave her a kind of weird name. How do these sound together?

I absolutely love Oreleira!! I think given the circumstances of each character, those names are perfect and sound very cool. The one problem might be that if they’re ever together and use their nicknames, all of their names then end with an “ee” sound. Other than that, I think your names are really interesting and creative!

I might change her nickname to Leira or have Maysee have the nickname [name_f]May[/name_f]. Thanks for pointing the nickname thing out. I tend to do that a lot.

This is a different approach, but… [name_f]Gilbertine[/name_f]? That could translate to [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] tolerably well. And kinda sounds like guillotine. [name_f]Kinda[/name_f].
