I went back to the drawing board--what do you think?

I have a new list of favorite names for my baby girl due in [name_f]October[/name_f]. What do you think?

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]-I would totally name my little girl this if her dad wasn’t totally against it.
Emmelise-nn [name_f]Elise[/name_f] (what do you think of the spelling Emmalise?)
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]-I love the Au- sound
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Brianne[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u]
[name_f]Aleigha[/name_f]-(what is you fav way to spell this?)
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]

Thanks for all the help!

I really like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f], but am not in love with Emmelise. I can get on board with [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], though. Have you considered [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]? It’s close to [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but different enough that the father might approve. There’s also [name_f]Eleni[/name_f].

Oddly enough, I really like Emmelise, but I love [name_f]Elise[/name_f] on its own even more. I like [name_u]Embry[/name_u] (maybe [name_u]Ember[/name_u] or [name_u]Emory[/name_u]?) and [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] ([name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]?). [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is my favorite. What about Roseline? I like the pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]. I am also going to suggest [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], [name_f]Elaina[/name_f], [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] have the same classic feel as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]?

I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], not a fan of the rest. If you like [name_f]Alia[/name_f] and the Au- sound, perhaps you’d like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]?

Rosalie is great! Rose names are beautiful. Are there any other Rose names that you could try? Rosemarie sounds similar. Rosalind, Rosanna, Primrose, just Rose? Any of those appeal? I love the previous poster’s suggestion of Coralie.

Emmelise-nn Elise - Names that end in lise are not my thing. Elise is nice enough. I would prefer Elise on it’s own.

Autumn is nice, but seems a bit boring these days. Super cute name for a girl born in October though! I know an Autumn, born on Halloween! Other names with Au - Audrey, Aubrynn, Aurelia. I will not suggest Aubrey for a girl.

Amelia is also nice, but super popular. Emilia is similar. Amelie? My current name crush is Amara.

Brianne - I love Bree names! I prefer the spelling Breanne. The Bri spellings are connected to Brian, and that doesn’t make any sense to me, since they are pronounced Bree, not Bry. I love Brienne!

Embry is not my thing. It sounds masculine. I like Emmy. It can stand alone or be a nickname for Em names.

Aleigha - this spelling looks wrong to me. Alia or Aleah looks cleaner. This name is too dated for me though. Do people remember the original source of the name’s popularity, Aaliyah?

Abigail - nice name, but way too popular for me. Abby is an adorable name for a child and it does age well.

I am actually REALLY loving [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] for you.

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is getting a bit redundant these days & if daddy doesn’t like it I"d say you need to let it go. All the nickname options are pretty sweet though.
Emmelise will be nn [name_f]Emma[/name_f], to a lot of people & you won’t have control of that. I prefer just [name_f]Elise[/name_f], especially if that’s what you’d like to call her. It is very pretty just on its own.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is perfect for a little [name_f]October[/name_f] girl. And a cool, introspective, quirky teenager. And a classy middle aged woman. And a spunky old lady. This gets my vote 100%.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and I know a handful of little Amelias so its fairly popular around here.
[name_f]Brianne[/name_f] - I like it if you are trying to honour a [name_m]Brian[/name_m], but otherwise I prefer [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] to [name_f]Brianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Breanne[/name_f]. [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] is gorgeous, [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] not as much. Maybe as a middke name?
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] - [name_u]Amory[/name_u] or even [name_f]Amber[/name_f] or [name_u]Avery[/name_u] (which are totally different but you might like them) appeal to me more. [name_u]Embry[/name_u] sounds wrong, like its lacking something or made up.
[name_f]Aleigha[/name_f]-(what is you fav way to spell this?) - I prefer [name_f]Elya[/name_f], that is actually the only spelling I like.
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - Boooring. Soo many little Abbys.

I’m with the dad on [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] or [name_u]Embry[/name_u] the best.

[name_f]My[/name_f] niece is [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f]. Not a name I would ever choose but that is how she spells it

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] – [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is beautiful. I do like pp of [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] though is the dad is against it.

Emmelise-nn [name_f]Elise[/name_f] (what do you think of the spelling Emmalise?) – Emmelise is beautiful though [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is just as gorgeous on it’s own.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] – This name is pretty and to me feels sort of timeless though beware of the people who will think you named her after the season she was born.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] – I’m biased with this name - it’s my dd’s - so I believe it’s gorgeous.

[name_f]Brianne[/name_f] – It’s nms but I’m curious if you’re pronouncing it [name_f]Bre[/name_f]-ann or [name_f]Bri[/name_f]-ann?

[name_u]Embry[/name_u] – This is more of a boy’s name to me. Always makes me think of a hot ember.

[name_f]Aleigha[/name_f]-(what is you fav way to spell this?) – This name is dated to me - if I were to use it I’d probably spell it [name_f]Aleah[/name_f].

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] – Timeless name. Would be on my list if we didn’t have a niece named [name_u]Abbey[/name_u].

Other suggestions: [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Aura[/name_f]/[name_u]Rory[/name_u]), [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]

Thank you all for your help

[name_f]Coralie[/name_f] is a great suggestion and dad approved!!

I love the [name_f]Elya[/name_f] and [name_f]Aleah[/name_f] spellings.

I really like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] they fit perfectly with my taste.

Thanks for all the advice
