Okay, now, to be honest, I don’t like the name [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] neither, but I love the meaning of it! Still, I will try:

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is a beautiful name first because of its meaning which is “blessed peacemaking”. I think this meaning is wonderful during our current period of war and various troubles, and may inspire peace, hope and goodwill. Anyways, this name will bring good energy and inspire your child or yourself.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] as well do has sweet nicknames, which include [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], Nene, the more masculine [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], Widdy, and many others.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is not that common right now.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] sounds great on a child, a grown up or an old person. It is not dated nor too modern, it is more timeless, yet with somehow a vintage vibe.
Besides being an [name_f]English[/name_f] name, it has probably not such big problems to be brought even in Europe or in other countries like names like “Kinsley, Ophelia” because of their spellings or their pronunciations; [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is straightforward. This means that even in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country your child will have it easier.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is a dignitous name with a history.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is not too femenine nor too masculine, and has a gender neutral vibe without forcing it with some names. Plus [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is strong, powerful and reminds me of warriors, but a gentle and peaceful kind of strong, one for the good. On a girl it would be somehow femenine while smart and strong, and I think this would bend super well on a boy/and enbies too, if you imagine it, and feel gentle yet cool and powerful.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] reminds me of snow, and blue sky and white and all the goodness and verity around you.

Writing this just made me like [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]- at leadt somehow more

I like Gilbert!!!

And here I will explain why:

The nicknames. [name_m]Gil[/name_m] is so cool and effortlessly natural and quick, yet with a vibe.
Literal connections. As a child when I was eight or something, I love AWAE and it is a great part of my memory.
The meaning.
It is elegant, vintage yet with a strong and modern vibe.

I prefer [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Amalie[/name_f], but here are some thoughts for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]:

Nicknames. my favourite is [name_f]Ame[/name_f] - it is the most natural for me and a friend named [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] I knew was known as [name_f]Ame[/name_f]. But there is also [name_u]Ami[/name_u] / [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Meli[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Lia[/name_f] and others, probably.
Internationality.
It feels sweet enough but also modern - was the name of royals - reminds me of lavender flowers.
