If your boyfriend/fiance/husband/girlfriend/wife was not involved in the naming process and how many children you’d have. (And money wasn’t a problem) what would you name your child(ren) and how many would you have?
Bonus: [name_m]Add[/name_m] their birthdays (if you want)
I would have 5.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] (3.19.2024)
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_m]Mark[/name_m] (11.27.2027)
[name_m]Austin[/name_m] [name_m]Warren[/name_m] (7.23.2029)
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] (3.21.2031) ~twin to [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisa[/name_f] (3.21.2031) ~twin to [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
I think I’d be happy with 4, but I’d would love 6 (or more) if I had all the time/money in the world. Problem is I look down my favourite names list at all the names I wouldn’t be able to use and I want 40.
Ideally, I would love 6 children. I live out of town, without any real neighbours, so it would be lovely for them to have playmates (and fightmates… I guess. I have never really fought with my sister, but I don’t know whether it would be the same.). Let’s just say they are all wonderfully behaved :). All the names would be interchangeable (e.g: [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], or [name_u]Norris[/name_u], or [name_f]Olive[/name_f]), because that is just sort of how it works in my family: we all have about a billion names we go by.
If I really think about it I’d like to have just one child. Maybe a girl? I have a lot more experience there.
At this point in my life her name would probably be [name_f]Alba[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]. I like the imagery I get from the names.
If I were to have a boy I would be just as happy, of course. His name at this point would almost definitely be [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Boone[/name_m]. [name_m]Boone[/name_m] was my great grandfather’s middle name. No one in my family has used it since. I like that connection.
If I were to have two children (oops!) any combination of the above names would be fine by me. Or, if there was a second boy he could possibly be [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I’m not sure.
Ideally, I’d like four… either two of each or three girls and one boy. And if their names were totally up to me (today), I’d choose:
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Dodge[/name_m]
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Donald[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Linnet[/name_f]
Or if I had three girls and a boy:
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Linnet[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Donald[/name_m] [name_m]Dodge[/name_m]
Right now I’d have three. Either two girls and one boy, 2 boys and one girl, or three boys.
Three boys:
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_u]Chase[/name_u]
Two girls one boy:
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] ([name_f]Evie[/name_f])
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_f]Lulu[/name_f])
[name_m]Phineas[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] ([name_u]Finn[/name_u])
Two boys one girl:
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_m]Clyde[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
Ideally I’d have 6 children. Three would be my minimum. I’ve always wanted more boys than girls. In the perfect ideal world I’d have 4 boys first, then my two little girls.
In a super ideal perfect world all my children would have Welsh names: (all the dd are a voiced th (like the th in then not thick, the opposite is true for ‘th’ cluster written as such)
Hedydd Eirwen Arianhrod (HAYD-ith AEIR-wen Ar’YAHN-hrod - r is trilled in Welsh, so Arianhrod sounds something like ari’yahn-hrod, with the long a as in father, when Anglicised slightly, the a at the beginning can be long as in the middle or short as in ‘pat’)
Aurddolen [name_u]Seren[/name_u] Ifanwy (air-THO-len SEH-ren ee-[name_u]VAN[/name_u]-wee)
