Ideas on updating Zoe??

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries! My new guilty pleasure name crush is [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] actually I prefer [name_f]Zoey[/name_f]. I love the spunkiness of [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] but [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]/[name_f]Zoey[/name_f] is [name_m]WAY[/name_m] too popular for me. Any ideas of similar names? And Not the obvious [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] also too popular.

Erm, I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is just lovely as it is. But hmm, what about [name_f]Zoya[/name_f]? I think it’s the Russian form of [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (at least, I remember hearing that somewhere!), and I think it’s so fresh and lovely. And Russian. (Who doesn’t love them a good Russian name?!)

There’s also [name_f]Zoelle[/name_f] (zoh-[name_f]ELLE[/name_f]) and [name_f]Zoelie[/name_f] (zoh-AY-lee, I think?!). Or even [name_f]Zelie[/name_f]? It’s not exactly related, but has a pretty similar feel, imo! Prn. between ZAY-lee and ZEHL-ee. It’s hard to write down a [name_m]French[/name_m] accent.

[name_f]Zoya[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelie[/name_f] are my favorites, but I really love just [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. I’ve met several middle-aged Zoes, and really no young Zoes, so I feel like it ages really gracefully and is so sweet and spunky and fresh. I’d love to meet a [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], personally.

ETA: There’s also [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Zora[/name_f]. Not related to [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] at all, but short and sweet and spunky, still, and [name_f]Zora[/name_f] sort of blends all the best elements of the vogue [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and [name_f]Cara[/name_f], and [name_f]Lara[/name_f], and [name_f]Laura[/name_f], and [name_f]Tara[/name_f], and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and so on and so forth!).

I had the same problem. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] was a name I loved, but the popularity is a problem. [name_f]Zea[/name_f] is a great alternative (prn. zay-uh or zee-uh). Or there’s always the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_m]Zo[/name_m]é (prn. zo-ay), but it’s quite easily mispronounced at first and could end up being more trouble than not. I think ashthedreamer hit all the rest : )

Awesome! [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is one of my favorites right now so adorable!! Thanks  I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is perfect in her original form too but I know two and one is my grandpas beloved dog. Seriously he lives her like a child. It would be like naming My child after my grandpas dog… That’s what he would thing. Lol

Omg [name_f]Zea[/name_f] is adorable I will be looking that up right now!

Oh I know a [name_f]Zoelie[/name_f]! She is 8 and pronounces her name “[name_m]Zo[/name_m]-lee” not [name_m]Zo[/name_m]-AY-lee. But maybe there is more than one way to pronounce it. I think the [name_m]Zo[/name_m]-lee pronounciation of [name_f]Zoelie[/name_f] is so sweet! I love it so much!
Sometimes she says “Zole-ee” Zole is like Soul but with a z (or like [name_m]Coal[/name_m] but with a Z). I’m not sure which way is right. Her little sister said Zole-ee, her older sister said [name_m]Zo[/name_m]-lee. It doesn’t make much difference, but both ways are nice [name_f]IMO[/name_f]!

I know a Zoeth (zo-eth).
