Identical set of twins in TRIPLETS!

A co-worker of mine and his wife welcomed triplet girls into the world in [name]Des[/name] Moines, Iowa. They chose the most beautiful, vintage names for their girls – I just had to share them. Two of the babies are the super rare mono-amniotic or “mono-mono” twins. The pregnancy was extremely high-risk, but all three girls and their mother are doing great. Two of three babies are now at home and thriving.

The triplets:
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Dorothy[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Ann[/name]

(I bet you can guess who the non-idential baby was!)

I love the fact that the name [name]Dorothy[/name] is slowly but surely making a comeback.

While I think all of the names are stunning, I kind of feel bad for [name]Dorothy[/name]. Almost as if parents are trying to create a closer connection between the identical pair and “separate” them from their sister. Also not a fan of the double use of “[name]Ann[/name]”, but to each their own.

I agree with jess0044, i sort of feel bad that [name]Dorothy[/name] is excluded from the ‘connection’ between the other two.

The names are lovely, though.

I was thinking [name]Dorothy[/name]'s the lucky one–she gets to be an individual. [name]Just[/name] hope they don’t call her [name]Dotty[/name], but in any case, lovely names and I wish them the best!!

I also agree it is strange to label the kids so they have a constant reminder of whose genes are identical to whom. I don’t know if I would have even divulged this information to them and family/friends, although at some point in their lives it would become apparent to them. I would have named them as a cohesive set. [name]Lovely[/name] names but strange choice in reasoning.

i disagree with Nameberrys recent dont name your twins in too ‘pea in a pod’ names or clothes because it makes them feel they ‘arent their own person’ or some other insane psychological reason.

but even Nameberry would agree that if you do do it:

[name]DO[/name] WITH ALL THE TWINS NOT [name]JUST[/name] TWO OF THEM.

poor [name]Dorothy[/name]. but according to the study she’ll be the well adjusted one.

plus two [name]Ann[/name] middles??? times like this makes me think people just are too lazy or get overwhelmed and give up naming which is sort of understandable, it is hard, but you are naming a person - they deserve more thought than lets just tack on [name]Mary[/name] to one [name]Ann[/name] and saying “maybe people wont notice.”

Let’s not be too quick to judge. Perhaps [name]Ann[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Ann[/name] are honoring two different people that are important to them?
I also don’t see [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name] as being matchy - they don’t sound at all alike and only share the same first letter. But that’s jut my take on it.
I think it’s a very pretty sibset all together.

I like the set. [name]Evelyn[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] dont sound similar, they just share a first initial. I did think it strange to use twice, but maybe the they were named after an [name]Ann[/name] and [name]MaryAnn[/name]. That way [name]Dorothy[/name] has a connection with an identical twin too.
I think its a lovely vintage set.
[name]How[/name] awesome to have triplet girls!

I agree with wrenmaple, I love the names. And I think they all fit together and flow nicely. [name]Evelyn[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] share the first letter that’s all…[name]Dorothy[/name] will not feel left out!
