Help! I need help naming our identical twin boys due in February. They have a sister named [name]Sutton[/name] and our last name is [name]Gray[/name]. Here is our current list. I need help with middle names too. Let me know what you think!
[name]Calder[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name]
Maz and [name]Xander[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Parks[/name]
[name]Calder[/name] and [name]Bauer[/name]
[name]Abbott[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Mercer[/name] and [name]Bauer[/name]
[name]Abbott[/name] and [name]Ansel[/name]
Congrats on your twins! Yes, they may be identical but always remember that they’re separate individuals. Your twin names are a bit too matchy for my taste.
If I could mix and match…
[name]Ansel[/name] and [name]Calder[/name]
[name]Abbott[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Abbott[/name] and [name]Mercer[/name]
Most of your names are surnames so I think a more traditional male name is best in the middle spot. [name]Do[/name] you have any male family members you would like to honour with the mn’s. Here are some examples below.
Personally, I’d mix and match some of these (and maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t wanna use the name [name]Abbott[/name] in a twin set, too [name]Abbott[/name] and Costello esque for me). My favorite of your name choices are: [name]Ansel[/name] (great name!), [name]Rhett[/name], [name]Calder[/name] and [name]Xander[/name]. I’d probably go with [name]Ansel[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] or [name]Ansel[/name] and [name]Calder[/name]
I agree with [name]Mischa[/name], the names are great but I’m not a fan of the way some of them are coupled. Especially the pairings that rhyme ([name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Parks[/name], [name]Calder[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name]). Maz looks too incomplete to be a name, like a nickname.
[name]Calder[/name] has to be my favourite, whilst [name]Calder[/name] & [name]Brooks[/name] my favourite pairing. I like [name]Rhett[/name] however [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Gray[/name] sounds like red-gray (but really, that’s not so bad). [name]Sawyer[/name] is also nice, but a sibset of three would be unbalanced if two children had a name beginning with “s” and one didn’t.
Here are some mn suggestions for [name]Calder[/name] and [name]Brooks[/name]:
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Raphael[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (yep, mischa had some great ideas :))
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Walker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name] [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
Other ones: [name]Rex[/name], [name]Amos[/name], [name]August[/name], [name]Ford[/name], [name]Quill[/name], [name]Roman[/name], [name]Axel[/name]
It might not be an issue where you live, but here in Australia [name]Ansell[/name] is a prominent brand of condoms so that’s a definite a no from me on the name. It’s a pity, because if it wasn’t for such a connotation it’d be a great name in my eyes.
Thanks for all of the great suggestions!!! We are definitely set on [name]Calder[/name] and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] since it is also a water name. However my husband is not totally sold on [name]Brooks[/name] although I think he can be convinced. He really loves [name]Bauer[/name]. Any thoughts on [name]Bauer[/name] and [name]Calder[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?
Also, I really like the idea of using our Dad’s names as middle names, but my Dad’s name is [name]Ron[/name] or [name]Ronald[/name]. Anyone have any creative ideas for variations of [name]Ron[/name] or [name]Ronald[/name]?
