Idony pronounciation

I pronounce it E-do-knee
How wrong I am?

I’d say the same  No idea how wrong we are

I assume that’s the correct pronunciation from the very limited Norwegian I know. Not sure which syllable has the emphasis, I’d probably say EE-do-nee though.

I’ve always said ID-uhn-ee (basically the same as you). It’s tricky, because it doesn’t really fit into scandi pronunciation conventions, given that it’s an anglicisation of Iðunn.

I-duhn-ee! Pretty similar to @rosepip!

E-duh-knee with the emphasis on E

I say Eye-duh-knee, but I’m pretty sure that’s wrong!

My first thought was EYE-duh-nee because it reminds me of “irony”.

I say ih-dun-nee

Ih-duh-nee

I’ve never met anyone with this name. I’d say EYE-duh-nee because it reminds me of [name_u]Ivory[/name_u]. Your way sounds better though.

Never seen this name before. At first glance, I’d say ID-oh-KNEE (the first syllable pronounced like “bid”).

Well, I decided that E-do-knee sounds good enough.
