The only other person I can think of with this name is the character of [name_m]Idris[/name_m] in [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who. She was the Tardis.

I’ve only heard [name_m]Idris[/name_m] on [name_m]Idris[/name_m] [name_f]Elba[/name_f] and [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who. Behind the Name says it’s a masculine Welsh name meaning “ardent lord,” comprised of the elements udd meaning “lord, prince” and ris meaning “ardent, enthusiastic, impulsive.” So it’s certainly a masculine name.
