If baby is a boy...

We’ve decided to make baby’s debut a surprise! We know we want to wait until we meet the little guy or girl and we have so many girl names that we love but so far no “this might be the one” moments. Here are some of our top choices so far. Please help!

The middle name will be [name]Michael[/name] (pretty sure about that)
I also like names with good nickname potential.

[name]Oliver[/name] (too popular?)
[name]Felix[/name] (not sure about nicknames with this though)
[name]Quinn[/name] (too many girls with this?)

We’re open to suggestions, but we would like something that is not too popular or trendy.
Thanks!!!

[name]Oliver[/name] is #118, so it is pretty popular…but its my favorite of all your options. I looked it up, and 3540 babies were given the name [name]Oliver[/name] in all of 2008 in the WHOLE country. When you break it down like that its not too bad. For instance, [name]Jacob[/name] is number 1 and there were 22,272 babies in 2008 born with that name. Kind of puts it into perspective

Anyways…I do think [name]Quinn[/name] has gone to the girls. Perhaps you could use [name]Quincy[/name] or [name]Quinlan[/name] with the nn [name]Quinn[/name] for a boy? I really do like [name]Felix[/name], but I understand that nn potential is slim. [name]Feel[/name] or Licks? Not great, huh? (That said, I still like it

Here’s a few suggestions, too…just in case  (A lot of these are my favorites
[name]Declan[/name] - nn Dec
[name]Everett[/name] - nn [name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Julian[/name]/ [name]Julius[/name] - nn [name]Jude[/name]
[name]Asher[/name] - nn [name]Ash[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name] - nn [name]Dash[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name] - nn [name]Harris[/name] or [name]Harry[/name]
[name]Weston[/name] - nn [name]West[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] - nn [name]Cal[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name] - nn [name]Seb[/name]/[name]Bas[/name]
[name]Tobias[/name] - nn [name]Toby[/name]
[name]Archer[/name] - nn [name]Archie[/name]

[name]Oliver[/name] (too popular?) - This name isn’t too popular where I live ([name]Canada[/name]). I really like it, seems really country too me though.

[name]Felix[/name] (not sure about nicknames with this though) - [name]Do[/name] not like this name, reminds me of [name]Felix[/name] the cat. Sounds more like a pet name.

[name]Quinn[/name] (too many girls with this?) - The only [name]Quinn[/name] I know is a guy, I like this name, it’s not super popular, and it’s sure to stand out.

Other names:
[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Connor[/name]
[name]Brock[/name]
[name]Peirce[/name]
[name]Preston[/name]

[name]Love[/name] the middle name [name]Michael[/name]!

[name]Oliver[/name] is handsome.
I am biased against [name]Felix[/name].
[name]Quinn[/name] sounds like a girls’ name to me.

[name]Wilson[/name]

I apologize for annoying repeats!

Thanks! Great suggestions as usual. I’m pretty stuck on [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Michael[/name] for now, but we’ll see

My vote is def for [name]Felix[/name]. Nickname could be Flex… Or u could nickname the old fashioned way and wait for the baby to born and see what nn fits him. Good luck

[name]Quinn[/name] is the cheerleader on Glee, so definitely headed down the girl path. Was also the daughter in the 1970’s film “The Goodbye Girl” so definitely in the girls’ camp.

[name]Felix[/name] = the cat.

[name]Oliver[/name] = quite popular at the moment.

[name]Just[/name] to let you know, I do like all these names and they were on my lists ([name]Quinn[/name] in the girl’s lists, but still). These are the reasons we didn’t go with them in the end. I ended up having a girl so no idea what we would have gone with!
