If [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] has a little sister…(need name ideas)
Criteria is as follows… #1 Two (preferable) or Three syllables #2 We generally do not like names w/ obvious nick-names (could possibly make exceptions for the “right” name) #3 Must sound good w/ our last name ([name_m]Wright[/name_m]) #4 Nothing too unique, but wouldn’t use a name in the top 10 either
Currently on our girls name list, in no order
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Karsyn[/name_f] (too trendy?)
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Alaina[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] (use to really like, now having second thoughts)
Any comments on our current list, favorites? least favorites? thoughts?
**Give us any name ideas that pop into your head! Thanks in advance!
(Similar post in the boys name section as well)
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] - pretty, sounds good with [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_m]Wright[/name_m] is a tad R heavy but not bad.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_m]Wright[/name_m] reminds me of tesseract, which isn’t necessarily bad. It’s a lovely name!
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - again, lovely name, but the R’s make it less than ideal to me
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] - super trendy and common.
[name_f]Karsyn[/name_f] - sorry but yea, it’s uber trendy
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] - pretty, but a tad dated.
[name_f]Carys[/name_f] - beautiful name, but again with the R, and can be difficult to pronounce for some
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - cute, I think this fits great. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], great. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_m]Wright[/name_m], lovely!
[name_f]Alaina[/name_f] - pretty, but one of numerous spellings ([name_f]Elaina[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Alayna[/name_f], etc.)
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
What about?
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Aveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - I know it duplicates the R sound, but I think with it at the front of the name it sounds nice
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f]
[name_f]Adela[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]
With [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], I really like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (without the h), [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] from your list. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is probably my favorite of the three with your last name and sons name but all are great. [name_f]Carys[/name_f] is another one I like but not as much as the first 3 I mentioned.
I do love the name [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] but I expect she would get called [name_f]Tess[/name_f] or [name_f]Tessie[/name_f]. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is fine and would work but I still think of it as unisex. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is very common and likely to be called [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]. karsyn seems like a trendy, mispelling of [name_u]Carson[/name_u]. [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is a nice name but seems rather formal next to [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]. [name_f]Alaina[/name_f] is okay but I expect she would get called [name_u]Lanie[/name_u].
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m] [name_m]Wright[/name_m] and _____ [name_m]Wright[/name_m]…
Firstly my favorites from your list: [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. All of these flow nicely with [name_m]Wright[/name_m].
[name_f]Karsyn[/name_f] sounds good if it is [name_u]Carson[/name_u] for a boy. I love many boys’ names on girls, like [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] when paired with a girly middle name. [name_u]Carson[/name_u] doesn’t sound good to me for a girl. [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] sounds dated and I never really liked it. [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/h is getting too popular, used to love it, and the others aren’t my taste. Instead of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
ideas that are not too popular but not nickname worthy & 2 possibly 3 syllables:
[name_f]One[/name_f] name I love for a girl is my aunt’s surname, [name_u]Carden[/name_u]. I know it sounds so much like [name_u]Carson[/name_u] but it feels fresher to me and has the garden connection
[name_u]Carden[/name_u] [name_m]Wright[/name_m]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_m]Wright[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]/[name_f]Kelsea[/name_f]/[name_u]Kelsie[/name_u]
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Libby[/name_f] or Libba
[name_f]Jada[/name_f] or Janny
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_u]Tobie[/name_u] or [name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (hard or soft g)
Oaklyn
