Which of my top two girls names ([name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] or Chrysanthemum [name]Harper[/name]) do you like best? Which could you actually see on a person?
My husband is onboard with either name btw
I really like [name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. Spunky-ness to the max! I think [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]Fuchsia[/name] would make an adorable sibset!
I imagine a girl who is outgoing, bold, and opinionated. I could also see her as being an spunky, artistic girl who is also good at sports. Really, the only type of person I couldn’t imagine [name]Fuchsia[/name] working on is a shy, introverted girl. That would be more up Chrysanthemum [name]Harper[/name]'s ally. [name]Both[/name] are beautiful names, great job!
Chrysanthemum [name]Harper[/name]
I think it would be the better choice since if the girl wants to have a more normal name later in life, she can go by [name]Chris[/name]. [name]Fuchsia[/name] doesn’t allow her this option.
Chrysanthemum [name]Harper[/name]. Although Chrysanthemum will be a pain to spell, it’s at least versatile in that it has several very wearable nickname options. I’m just not liking the sound of [name]Fuchsia[/name]; Chrysanthemum’s sound is more attractive to my ear.
Definitely [name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. I’ve always found Chrysanthemum to be a bit of a tongue twister and can’t imagine it on a real person. It was actually our joke name for DD before she was born. We told people we were going to name her Chrysanthemum - “little Chrythy” for short.
The only potential difficulty I see with [name]Fuchsia[/name] is that there’s not a ready made nickname, and that she’s probably going to have to spell it a lot, but neither of those would be deal breakers if you really love it.
I would use Chrysantha, not Chrysanthemum. Fuschia [name]Maeve[/name] is gorgeous!
Fushia [name]Maeve[/name] just does not seem wearable to me. I mean it would be cute on a little kid and even cool teenage girl but what about as an adult? Dr. Fushia M. Lastname (or so on…) That just does not work with me at all.
On the other hand however I am really starting to crush on Chrysanthemum! Its a fresh option from the other popular “flower names” (i.e.[name]Rose[/name]…) and has lots of cool nickname options like:
[name]Christy[/name]
[name]Chrissy[/name]
[name]Christal[/name] (a bit of a strech)
Mum
[name]Sammy[/name]
Thaya (I kinda just made it up but thought I’d throw it out there)
Chrysanthemum [name]Harper[/name] is nice but I would go with a 1 syllable mn (like [name]Jade[/name] or [name]Hope[/name] or [name]Bay[/name] or [name]Fern[/name] or [name]Brooke[/name] or [name]Bree[/name]) since the first is long.
Best of [name]Luck[/name]
[name]McKenzie[/name]
**by the way i apologize for the grammatical errors. (I dont have a comma button on my kindle keyboard)
Fushia is like [name]Sasha[/name]–it doesn’t need a nickname.
Would [name]Juniper[/name] even be able to pronounce Chrysanthemum? Would Chrysanthemum be able to pronounce Chrysanthemum? She might end up with a nickname you cannot even imagine, one borne out of [name]Juniper[/name] trying to say the name…
I think both would be difficult names to say when your little… I mean my fiance’s niece couldn’t even say her sister’s name, which is [name]Nora[/name]! So I don’t think you need to keep that in mind, but with that said you can easily make a nickname out of Chrysanthemum, such as [name]Chris[/name] or Mum/Mumsy…
[name]Love[/name] [name]Fuchsia[/name] with little [name]Juniper[/name]! NN could be [name]Effie[/name] even though its a stretch, not that you really need a nn though.
I like Chrysanthemum. [name]Chrys[/name], Rysa, [name]Sandy[/name], [name]Thea[/name], [name]Anna[/name]. It’s way more versatile.
Plus it’s just downright prettier than [name]Fuchsia[/name], imo. I don’t think I can get behind any name that starts with F U
[name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name], definitely. Chrysanthemum is just not working for me. However, I do agree with one poster - imagine Dr. [name]Fuchsia[/name] M. Lastname - I can’t. And the spelling will always be an issue… I had to scroll up and look carefully at the actual name to get it right!
Maybe instead of [name]Maeve[/name] you could use a more traditional name? Or more quiet? Like [name]Teagan[/name] - [name]Tennyson[/name]?
But [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]Fuchsia[/name] are great together - well done.
I like [name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]! [name]Both[/name] are nice, and Chrysanthemum (or, as mentioned earlier, Chrysantha, which is lovely!) would give you some nickname opportunities, but I think [name]Fuchsia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is lovely. However, note this misspellings of [name]Fuchsia[/name] in this thread. It’s not really a phonetic spelling, so I’m guessing it would be misspelled a lot.
