If you were given the power to ban two names, one for boys and one for girls, all around the globe, which would you choose and why?
Note: You’d only prevent it from being used in the future. All people currently with the name could keep it.

Phoebe! It’s mine!
Same for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] lol
(wait, could I still use it if it were banned?)
We’ll say yes.
Kamala and [name_u]Rohan[/name_u]
Nevaeh. I just roll my eyes every time I hear that name. “it’s heaven spelled backwards” yes I know, but that doesn’t make it a good name.
I don’t have any boy names I feel strongly about like that.
Ava for girls. So many of my friends have daughters named [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and I’m so sick of hearing it.
Not really sure at the moment for boys
Can it be [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] with any letter stuck in front of it? I honestly really like the name, I’m just so tired of hearing it. And the poor guys always seem to be the trouble makers at the playground.
I don’t know about that. [name_f]My[/name_f] nephew is an Aiden name with a letter stuck in front of it (albeit [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] is spelled differently), but he’s not the troublemaker on the playground. In fact, all of those with this type of name I know are the most pleasant people I’ve met.
[name_f]Princess[/name_f] and [name_m]Adolf[/name_m]
Rowan (for boys and girls!) That is, if I’m still allowed to use it.
If I’m allowed another one, even though I technically banned 2 names there, then add [name_f]Mila[/name_f].
Abcde. I don’t think I need to explain this one.
And for boys, I’d ban [name_u]Messiah[/name_u]. I’m honestly surprised, what with the [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] controversy, that this name ranks within the Top 200, and I think it’s a rather insensitive choice.
I’ll do a cop out here and just say two insensitive names - pick any two
For a boys name, I’d ban my partner’s name: [name_m]Lloyd[/name_m]. Poor guy hates it. Despite everyone recognizing the name, everyone struggles to spell it because they get intimidated/confused by the double L’s and end up spelling it Llyod it’s also most commonly an old farmer name where I live ([name_f]Canada[/name_f]) and doesn’t suit my fun-loving and energetic guy at all! I want to prevent this from happening to anyone else in the future.
I’ll come back when I think of a good girl’s name to ban.
Covid, Coronavirus, [name_m]Cohen[/name_m], Jeferee, X æ A-12, and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
Gonna be mean and say [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], because I want mine to be the only one mwah ha ha ha! Same goes for any of my favourites, but [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is rising faster than I’d like.
Oh and for girls, maybe [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] for similar reasons. Although that would cause me problems too, because I’d have to cut another favourite.
Graham. I just hate this name, it sounds so DULL. Same for [name_m]Humphrey[/name_m], [name_m]Humbert[/name_m] or any dry name like that. [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t hear them much anymore though, so suppose they don’t need to banned.
Marge. Similar to [name_m]Graham[/name_m], sounds so boring.
King - So. Tacky.
[name_u]Messiah[/name_u] - Comes off Disrespectful and narcissistic
[name_f]Gina[/name_f] - with a long I, I have a relative with this name and…
It’s really unfortunate if you know what I mean.
For girls: I loathe [name_f]Kinsleigh[/name_f] (all spellings), I wish I could banish every name ending in “leigh” if Im being honest haha!
For boys: [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] (all spellings). [name_m]Jack[/name_m] on it’s own is fine but I swear if I see another baby named [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] this year I give up😂
Boys. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] or [name_u]Logan[/name_u]- I just really don’t like them names.
Girls. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], for the simple fact that it’s been way too popular for too long.
I’m not really sure for boys - maybe [name_m]Adolf[/name_m] or [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] like others said.
I’d ban [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] for girls. No offence to anyone who likes it, but it’s just wrong (although it’s fine on a boy). [name_u]Reese[/name_u] can stay, I guess.
