I loved this topic trend last year and wanted to try it again with my recent rediscovery of this name.
What is your impression of the name [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]? What is your instinctual pronunciation of the name? What kind of imagery, vibe, aura (or aesthetic, if any come to mind) does this name have for you?
I’m also having a bit of a challenge coming up with middles, so any and all ideas are welcomed! I’d love to find two middle names that flow with [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], 2-3 syllables max.
I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. It’s a bit stereotypical to describe it as such, but it’s a very frilly, princessy name for me, but in a very… grounded and sturdy way, if that makes sense? (Whereas something like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is more whimsical). [name_f]My[/name_f] instinctual and preferred pronunciation is ann-uh-stay-zhuh but I have known and would not be surprised to meet an ah-nuh-stah-see-yuh, and I find that pronunciation pretty as well.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] feels powerful, elegant and stylish, regal, princess-y, shades of pink, lilac and blue, a kind of confident feel - it also gives a sort of sparkles, snowflakes, fur hoods and cities in winter vibes.
I think Ana-stay-zhuh is my go to pronunciation, but I sometimes say ana-star-zhuh too (star, without any emphasis on the r)
Some middle name I’d consider with [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]:
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] feels haughty, aristocratic, ribbons in her hair, ice-skating, with an undercut of tragedy because of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Romanova.
Ohhh I’m growing to really love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. She’s so beautiful. She brings to mind sparkly purple and lots of snow but also lots of flowers. I love the nns [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. I say Anne-ah-STAY-zhah. If I had a kiddo with this name, I think right now her name would be [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - I love it! I also am a big fan of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Clio[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Clary[/name_f]. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] from your list is nice, too, though!
