If you lived in __, you'd name your children...?

As I currently live in Germany but plan on moving later in life, I often ask myself “If I lived in __, what would change about my name choices” (especially if I stayed in Germany).
I generally try to choose internationally-usable names, however, there is a difference between constantly and occasionally hearing your children’s name in a language, e.g. I wouldn’t mind [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in [name_m]German[/name_m] but would never choose it if I’d live in Germany yet I’d name my son [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] in a heartbeat while I’m not as enthusiastic about it in English.
Basically, I’d chose different names in different countries.

I’m interested in how your name choices would very, I’ll give you a few “example” countries I’d like you to answer but please also add your own countries you’d like to live/dream about living in one day.

If you lived in Germany, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in Spain, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in Denmark, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in France, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in the UK, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in the US, you’d name your children…?
If you lived in __ , you’d name your children…?

BONUS: Which high-ranking names form your list wouldn’t be usable anymore if you moved to you “dream” country or if you stayed where are you are (the latter mainly affects international berries who, like me, often think very English on here)?

Interesting concept!

If you lived in Germany, you’d name your children…? [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] & [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]
If you lived in Spain, you’d name your children…? [name_m]Francisco[/name_m] & [name_f]Viviana[/name_f]
If you lived in Denmark, you’d name your children…? [name_m]Jesper[/name_m] & [name_f]Liv[/name_f]
If you lived in [name_f]France[/name_f], you’d name your children…? Léo & Ophélie
If you lived in the UK, you’d name your children…? [name_m]Alastair[/name_m] & [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
If you lived in the US, you’d name your children…? [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Victor[/name_m] “[name_m]Law[/name_m]” & [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]
If you lived in [name_f]Italy[/name_f], you’d name your children…? [name_m]Alessandro[/name_m] “[name_m]Sandro[/name_m]” & [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]

I have no plans to move outside of the US, but if I did, I would probably have to cut [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]. It’s really the only name I’d seriously consider for a child that doesn’t translate well or have similar international variants I could use.

If you lived in Germany, you’d name your children…? [name_f]Alina[/name_f] & [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] or [name_m]Julius[/name_m]
If you lived in Spain, you’d name your children…? [name_f]Bel[/name_f]én & [name_m]Luiz[/name_m]
If you lived in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u], you’d name your children…? Liara or Laís & [name_u]Jo[/name_u]ão
If you lived in [name_f]France[/name_f], you’d name your children…? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & ?
If you lived in [name_f]Italy[/name_f], you’d name your children…? [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] or [name_f]Giulia[/name_f] & [name_m]Emilio[/name_m]

If you lived in Germany, you’d name your children…?
Something along the lines of [name_f]Flora[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Edgar[/name_m], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Ella[/name_f]”, [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], etc.; most names on my list do nothing for me in [name_m]German[/name_m], however, the ones mentioned I quite like.

If you lived in Spain, you’d name your children…?
I’d love to incorporate [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]/[name_f]Olalla[/name_f] (o-lie-ya) and [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] in the names, they just have something about them when pronounced in Spanish/Catalan.

If you lived in Denmark, you’d name your children…?
Probably similar to the ones I’d use in Germany, however, one of my guilty pleasure names is [name_m]Rasmus[/name_m], which I’d love to throw in there.

If you lived in [name_f]France[/name_f], you’d name your children…?
[name_m]Augustin[/name_m]/[name_u]Auguste[/name_u], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_m]Bruno[/name_m], [name_m]Edouard[/name_m], [name_m]Mathieu[/name_m], [name_m]Basile[/name_m]… similar to the English names with a few additions on the boys’ side.

If you lived in the UK/US, you’d name your children…?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f],… I’m very enthusiastic about English girls’ names and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

What a fun thread!

If you lived in Germany, you’d name your children…?
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m], [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Pia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], etc.
If you lived in Spain, you’d name your children…?
I’m not sure–I don’t love a lot of Spanish names! I would love to use [name_f]Amparo[/name_f] (I love the meaning!) and [name_f]Olalla[/name_f], though. I think they’re delightful.
If you lived in Denmark, you’d name your children…?
My problem is I never know what’s dated in all these other countries, but I’d want something that fits in stylistically. I’d probably want something along the lines of [name_f]Petra[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], [name_u]Dagny[/name_u], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Soren[/name_m], [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m], [name_f]Annika[/name_f], [name_f]Anneli[/name_f], [name_f]Karolina[/name_f], etc. (I think I’d mainly use each country as an excuse to use all the international names I love so much!)
If you lived in [name_f]France[/name_f], you’d name your children…?
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_u]Auguste[/name_u], [name_m]Gaspard[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Florin[/name_m], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] (particularly [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f]! I know [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is dated in [name_f]France[/name_f]–I have no clue about [name_f]Adele[/name_f]–but they’re my two favorites, and I’d love to have a little [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaking [name_f]Adele[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]!), [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], Olivie, etc.
If you lived in the UK, you’d name your children…?
It probably wouldn’t change all that much from there and here! I’d definitely use [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] if I was there, though–I adore the British pronunciation of [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (AM-illy), and I love that I wouldn’t be looked at like a crazy person for using my beloved [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!
If you lived in the US, you’d name your children…?
My list is tailored for living here in the States, so I’d probably end up with (if I had my ideal sibset) either [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Arianne[/name_f], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] OR [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I absolutely adore both sets. Realistically I think I’d probably have a blend of the two. Other names I can see me using are [name_u]Rory[/name_u] (b), [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]/[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f] (with some longer name), [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_u]Avery[/name_u] (b), [name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_m]Zane[/name_m], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] “[name_u]Bo[/name_u]”, [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_u]Gray[/name_u], [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_m]Koa[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Ian[/name_m], [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u], [name_u]Vale[/name_u], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] “[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]/Skandar”, [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Reef[/name_m], [name_m]Foster[/name_m], [name_m]Bear[/name_m] (b).
If you lived in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u], you’d name your children…?
I don’t know? I would want something that wouldn’t be said too differently by my family AND the Brazilians I would know, so that pretty much eliminates anything with accents (especially ending in ao), "R"s, names ending in "L"s, etc. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would probably work pretty well, and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] (although I’m not sure how it’d be spelled in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]?), and DEFINITELY [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (I take it back–I adore both the Brazilian Portuguese and American pronunciations–I would totally be okay with hearing both all the time!), [name_m]Caio[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Augusto[/name_m], [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f], [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], [name_f]Mirella[/name_f], and DEFINITELY [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]! I love [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] in English (and love [name_u]Sam/name_u and [name_f]Cissy[/name_f]!), but I adore them in Brazilian Portuguese. I’d probably find a way to get [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in there, too, because I absolutely adore [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Brazilian Portuguese, and pretty much hate all the other pronunciations. I wish there was an English alternative spelling for the sound, because it’s just so adorable. ah-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-see!
If you lived in [name_f]Italy[/name_f], you’d name your children…?
I’d find a reason to use all my favorite Italian names, haha! [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f], [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_m]Benedetto[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_m]Leo[/name_m] (I’d probably use [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]? Too bad I couldn’t have [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] and [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m]!), [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f], etc., etc.!

I would use [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] for the girl.
I would have to let [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] go.
