If you were a celeb and you could name your baby any name (or not name) you wanted what would you choose?
I came across a blog, unfortunately I can’t remember the name of it, and it was of a mother with three girls, [name]Pilot[/name], [name]Penn[/name] and [name]Poet[/name], the reasons that she called her childen these names were because her and her husband did not know people with these names and they wanted their children to become their own people.
If you had the courage what would you name your children?
I’d probably use my two guilty pleasure names as first names: [name]Zenobia[/name] and [name]Leander[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are possible middles though
My name choices wouldn’t change [name]JUST[/name] because I was a celebrity. I would choose names off my list although I’m sure they would get less weird looks if I was a celeb.
Well…I named my daughter [name]Leonie[/name] which I guess is weird enough for some. I have some names I don’t have the guts to use…like [name]Io[/name] is one that I love but wouldn’t use. Probably not even if I were a celebrity!
I don’t think it would change too much. But just for fun, I’d go with [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Bria[/name] for a girl and [name]Zephyrus[/name] [name]Orion[/name] for a boy
Ooh, fun question! I love so many names that I would use despite the fact they’re rather unusual but for my worry that they will be perceived as pretentious, hipster, or trying too hard. That doesn’t seem to be an issue for celebrities, however ([name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Arusha[/name] [name]Arkadina[/name] [name]Altalune[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Thurman[/name], anyone?). So if I was a celebrity, I would totally use…
I’m the opposite actually if I was famous I would be far to scared to use a name considered out-there than I would in my current (rather boring) life as let’s face everytime a celeb names their kid something odd they tend to get made fun of. A lot. By complete strangers. That being even my more out there choices are actually pretty normal, at least not unheard of. that being said I wish I had the courage to name my one-day daugther my long-time name love [name]Charity[/name]
Probably the same names I would use under normal circumstances, however if I should be somewhat more flamboyant, I’d probably use one of my GP names like [name]Hester[/name], [name]Cosima[/name], [name]Hugo[/name] or [name]Akiva[/name]. Or actually I know what I would call a girl; [name]Marie[/name]-Bonaparte. Now, I know Bonaparte is a last name but it sounds so beautiful and I think being a celebrity could make you get away with it, haha.
You forgot Busson ([name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Arusha[/name] [name]Arkadina[/name] [name]Altalune[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Thurman[/name]-Busson)
[name]Seven[/name] names is a lot, but I do think they sound lovely together.
I’m not sure about girl names, but for boys I’d use [name]Ramses[/name] and [name]Everest[/name] (that would be a weird sibset!) …names I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t use in real life.
I think being a celebrity would definately give you more [name]Freedom[/name] to use an unusual name. I think I would be more apt to use word names that I love like [name]Diamond[/name], Inspire, Glow, [name]Crimson[/name], [name]Honor[/name], [name]Breeze[/name], Heart, [name]Dove[/name], [name]Lovey[/name], [name]Silk[/name] or [name]Velvet[/name] for a girl. For a boy maybe Swift, [name]Cruise[/name], Sport, Bronze, [name]Slade[/name], [name]Truth[/name], [name]Jett[/name], [name]Striker[/name], or [name]Royal[/name].
This is fun, and I’m going to think about a fun and crazy answer. But part of me thinks I might just use the same (classic, “boring” to most) names I use now, and THAT would make me unique.
I agree with the pp that said she’d actually not want to use out-there names. I think as a celebrity it would already be difficult enough to give my kids a “normal” life, so naming them outlandish names where they would always be very recognizable and would have a harder time going into a mainstream career would feel like I was doing them a disservice. That being said, [name]Penn[/name] was on my short list for middles–I feel it is not nearly as unusual or odd as [name]Pilot[/name] and [name]Poet[/name].
