Ike, Ned, or Leif with tricky middle name search

So we have a

Felicity [name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] (mn after my dad [name_m]Antonios[/name_m]) and [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] (mn after my step-dad [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]).

Sometimes they are called by nicknames Cici, [name_m]Dez[/name_m], and [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]. I am loving the names [name_m]Ned[/name_m], [name_m]Leif[/name_m], and [name_m]Ike[/name_m] and it doesn’t bother me to much that all are shorter and have no nickname ( is that bad?). [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is ok with them if we can find the right middle name. Here’s the catch it has to honor his grandfather [name_m]Donald[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] (different last name than us).[name_m]Leif[/name_m] is close enough so we thought Maybe [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] (Does that go?) And we thought of [name_m]Ned[/name_m] [name_m]Donovan[/name_m]. But I am stuck on a middle name option for [name_m]Ike[/name_m]. Maybe [name_u]Leland[/name_u]?

So what works best with our current kids?
[name_m]Ned[/name_m] [name_m]Donovan[/name_m]
[name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_u]Leland[/name_u] (or something else?)

i think all of your options are great!

my personal favorite is ike leland, i think leland does the trick just fine, super handsome combo. isaac leland or isaac lee nn ike is also a thought?
i can see why you like these names, even if they’re much shorter than the other kids’. ike is a perfect little bro to roscoe, leif fits right in with felicity and ned is pretty close to desmond.

My favourite out of [name_m]Ike[/name_m], [name_m]Ned[/name_m], and [name_m]Leif[/name_m] is definitely [name_m]Leif[/name_m] - it’s adorable yet strong. [name_m]Ike[/name_m] and [name_m]Ned[/name_m] sound like nicknames to me.

I like [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] and I think it goes well with your other kids. If [name_m]Leif[/name_m] is too far a stretch to honour [name_u]Lee[/name_u], I also like [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] (to honour [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]). I’m not sure if [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] goes as well with you other kids though.

Love [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] very handsome name and I think it works well with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] & [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] despite not having a nickname. Really like [name_m]Leif[/name_m]

Love [name_m]Lief[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]. Also [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_u]Leland[/name_u] could be nice

Love your kids names and [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] and [name_m]Ned[/name_m] [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] fit wonderfully

Ike Donolly
[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]
[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_u]Liam[/name_u]
[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_u]Declan[/name_u]

I love all of those first names ideas but in terms of combos, [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] is the one that really sings! [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] is wonderful.

I also think [name_m]Leif[/name_m] feels the most substantial, and the least nicknamey, especially alongside your other children’s longer names.

I really like [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m] and [name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_u]Leland[/name_u]!
I think [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] could also work as a middle with [name_m]Leif[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]. It seems a bit presidential. I knew an [name_m]Ike[/name_m] that went by [name_m]Ikey[/name_m]/Ikie.

I think [name_m]Ike[/name_m] could be a nn for Eisenhower.

Lief is my favorite, though.

Ike Leeson

I think [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is due for a comeback.

Longer names for nn [name_m]Ned[/name_m]:

Theodore
[name_m]Nevan[/name_m] / [name_m]Nevin[/name_m]
Niahmiah
[name_m]Nero[/name_m]
[name_m]Neville[/name_m]
Nedulon

I really like [name_m]Ned[/name_m]. Nerdy cool to the max!

Thank you for the help! I forgot to ask, how do you pronounce leif? With a long e or a?

Long e; I love [name_m]Leif[/name_m] [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]!!
