I'm in love with the name Julian!

I literally can name my blender [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and I wouldn’t feel ashamed.

Whenever I think of a male character I always name him [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. It’s like I’m creating a male character just so I can name him [name_m]Julian[/name_m].

Anyways, I have [name_u]Sage[/name_u] for main girl character and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] for main boy character. These names are my favorite, there is nothing wrong with them. But when they are combined… I’m not sure if I’m liking the sound of it? Like, [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m]? What do you guys think?

And I tried to change the name to [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] but it was way worse than I expected. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u], they are both unisex and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] was nothing like [name_m]Julian[/name_m]!

So, what are you guys’ opinions? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_u]Sage[/name_u] & [name_m]Julian[/name_m] sounds good? Or do you think that I should move on from [name_m]Julian[/name_m] to something else? If you want to suggest a name, please do! I’m looking forward to hear it! Maybe you can make me forget about [name_m]Julian[/name_m]!

BTW I haven’t met with anyone named [name_m]Julian[/name_m], I don’t know where this obsession came from:D

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. If their personalities match, the names will follow…
But if they sound weird to you and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is a solid favorite, maybe change [name_u]Sage[/name_u]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] for similar sound? Or [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_u]River[/name_u] for naturey and gender neutral? Or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] for herbal conection . Or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] for smarts. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_u]Roma[/name_u] (this one is just me being cheeky, sorry).
If [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is not up for change, maybe try [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Matheo[/name_m], or [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Kane[/name_m], or [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] sound pretty good to me.

I know this is ridiculous, but trying saying it “[name_m]Julian[/name_m] & [name_u]Sage[/name_u]”. I feel like things always sound better with the single-syllable last! It’s a trick I use to convince myself that I haven’t just misnamed my entire universe of characters.

We writers, we tend to get in our heads :slight_smile: I for one love the combo of [name_m]Julian[/name_m] & [name_u]Sage[/name_u]! They have such personality.

It is not ridiculous. I too think [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] sounds way better.
