I'm new and lost

Hello all!

I am SO glad I discovered Nameberry as a place to release all my love towards names. My friends were getting annoyed :slight_smile:
I am not married nor expecting which makes me a minority here? Possibly.

Anyways, I’ve been trying to find my way around here but some kind of general overview of what things I can do on this site would be ever so helpful!

[name]Welcome[/name]! I’m also unmarried and not expecting. There are many more of us here than you might think, and most are in our teens and early twenties. Nameberry is more of a community of name enthusiasts rather than a community of moms and dads trying to find a name for their baby (although there are lots of expectant parents here).

The forums are basically the place to be. I really don’t use any of the other features (although I do read the blog). I go to Behind the Name to look up names, as I’ve found that their etymologies are consistently more accurate than what is on Nameberry.

PS. I’m doing NaNoWriMo too. Sort of.

Thanks for the welcome! I’m glad there is a community of name lovers here just for the sake of awesome names! I think I’ll feel right at home.
I figured out how to make a name list and am pretty proud of that but am basically just prowling the forums…
