I'm nonbinary and i'm struggling with a middle name!

first of all (unrelated), i made a post last year asking for a first name and there were a ton of wonderful suggestions but i ultimately went with [name_m]Abbott[/name_m]! so thank you everyone who suggested names, really helped a lot (even though it did make it hard to choose lol).

[name_f][/name_f]

secondly, i am now in need of a middle name! when i made the other post, i said i had picked [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] as my middle name, that is no longer the case lol. i have some names that i’ve been thinking about so i’d like your opinions on them but also maybe some suggestions as well (C or F initial is preferred but not necessary)??

[name_f][/name_f]

ok so, the names that i’ve been thinking about are: [name_m]Chandler[/name_m], Ray/Raye, [name_m]Jayme[/name_m] (Jamie), and [name_f]Fallon[/name_f]. i’m also going to add a simplified version of my pros and cons list for these names but you don’t have to read that part if you don’t want to.

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Summary[name_f][/name_f]

!!! HERE ARE THE PROS AND CONS !!!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Chandler[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- Pros: Friends is kind of me and my mom’s thing (we watched it whenever i was in the hospital), starts with a C, just all around like the name.
[name_f][/name_f]Cons: feels like a VERY 90’s name, definite masc lean but hey there was a female [name_m]Chandler[/name_m] in Friends so it’s technically unisex right?? RIGHT???

[name_f][/name_f]

Ray/Raye [name_f][/name_f]- Pros: feels pretty unisex to me, just a name that i’ve always liked.
[name_f][/name_f]Cons: even though i like the name i just feel like it’s kind of blegh, if that makes sense.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Jayme[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- Pros: spelling is cool, [name_m]Jamie[/name_m] is a pretty unisex name and [name_m]Jayme[/name_m] is that but just spelt differently, one of my favorite [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who characters is named [name_m]Jamie[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]Cons: i actually kind of hate the name [name_m]Jamie[/name_m] lol (but the spelling helps A LOT for me).

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Fallon[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- Pros: starts with an F, sounds similar to [name_m]Alan[/name_m] which is a name that i really like, once again i just like the name in general.
[name_f][/name_f]Cons: it makes me think of [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] and he just irks me (kind of getting over this though).

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

ok, i think that is all. thanks in advance for any advice and/or suggestions!

[name_m]Abbott[/name_m] Ray(e) was my pick from just looking at your current ideas! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] unisex name and middle name, but I get what you mean [name_f][/name_f]— it can feel like a bit of a “filler”. [name_m]Jayme[/name_m] was my second pick, I really like the spelling and it sounds great with [name_m]Abbott[/name_m], but of course don’t use it if there’s potential later down the track for you to start to dislike it more.

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f][name_m]Chandler[/name_m] & [name_f]Fallon[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]

Again, great options! And I definitely consider them unisex. Sounds like you have a nice connection to both, especially [name_m]Chandler[/name_m], which is a big bonus imo. I think your cons for these can be mitigated by the fact they’ll be used in the middle position [name_f][/name_f]— [name_m]Chandler[/name_m] is very 90s, but it has a more sophisticated charm next to [name_m]Abbott[/name_m]. [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] is very [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] (for me as well), but it’s balanced out nicely with [name_m]Abbott[/name_m]. Out of the two, my vote goes to [name_m]Chandler[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Abbott[/name_m] [name_m]Freddie[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Abbott[/name_m] [name_f]Tegan[/name_f]

Thoughts on your ideas:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Chandler[/name_m] → I like the sentimental value of it and the solid but gentle sounds. I see it as unisex [name_f][/name_f]- and in terms of stats, its currently split 43:57!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Raye[/name_f] → simple, sleek and cool [name_f][/name_f]- flows well [name_f][/name_f]- does feel a tiny bit ‘filler-middle’ if that bothers you

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Jayme[/name_m] → solid and simple, but with a bit of flair from the spelling. Still, I’d cut since you hate the similar [name_m]Jamie[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Fallon[/name_f] → kind of cool and unexpected [name_f][/name_f]- I’d maybe consider if it would bother you if people brought up [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] [name_f]Fallon[/name_f] when you said you middle name though

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

From your options, I like [name_m]Chandler[/name_m] best

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_m]Abbott[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

Thoughts on [name_m]Chandler[/name_m]: Overall the character had a pretty nb name in [name_m]Chandler[/name_m] [name_f]Muriel[/name_f] [name_m]Bing[/name_m] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Chandler[/name_m] itself reads very unisex to me & I agree with the PP that [name_m]Abbot[/name_m] gives it a classic, not dated feel.

[name_f][/name_f]

On Ray(e): Has a sunshiney feel that makes up for its popularity as a middle. I think it sounds great with [name_m]Abbott[/name_m].
